@@jor6426 There are some keepers that do sign. I think Kaius surrogate signs. I forget her name but they showed the few things she would sign for. Hopefully they teach little Kaius! 😃

Let them be them, but able to communicate their needs or, even jus for fun if talking with the visitors. Annie is an example. She wants so much to play with her boy who comes to visit, but she jus shakes her head "no" in frustration when she can't play. Jus talking to the visitors thru signs, will give them enrichment and joy, as well to be able to tell the keepers when something is wrong. And, it will give the visitors something to look forward to, especially if the visitors are being told what the gorillas are asking for by someone over the PA.😅❤

Annie is about the age Ai was when she had Annie. She was so young, Ai loves Annie they are closer than when she was young! Can you imagine Annie being a momma at this point
This ape is highly intelligent at times her face and her eyes speak volumes to a person like me sometimes I see happiness then boredom and even pain or sadness. These guys deserve a sanctuary not a zoo where people poke and prod at them as if there some form of entertainment there not. There living breathing beautiful creatures and not entertainment to me.
