The music in the introduction of the video is in stereo, but when Mr. Escueta plays the Montage M8x it's recorded in mono. As such, you can't ascertain the true quality of the Montage M acoustic sounds when they are recorded in mono. The overwhelming majority of videos on RUclips of people playing Montage M acoustic sounds are recorded in stereo, where you can ascertain the true quality of the sounds. Many of the Synth patches on the Montage M are mono, but that's normal. There are also many Synth patches in stereo as well. The best way to judge sounds on a keyboard is to play it in person with a quality pair of headphones or quality speakers. RUclips compresses audio in videos, which doesn't help.
he more i watch the Montage M videos, the more I want a Montage M instead of a Roland Fantom. So this video is a definate trap to make us buy this board.
Yeah it’s great. Some people love to knock things they have no experience. Well at least Yamaha can say their sampled key noise is impossible to discern from the real thing.
This video is a fail unfortunately. I couldn't watch it even half way through, because you have the Montage M sounding horrible. It sounds like you used a single mono microphone to record the sound coming through speakers. All good videos record the sound directly from the Montage via the stereo outputs or stereo via USB to DAW. If a user is interested in a Montage M and compare the M's sound in the video against a Roland, Korg or Nord pianos/sounds (that are almost always recorded direct in stereo), they are going to think the Montage M sounds horrible and buy another product...
to bad that the new keybed of the Montage M8x makes al lot of noise. not well muffled. For me a deal breaker. I want to make music without any noise from the keybed.
It makes some noise but I wouldn't call it 'a lot'. Is it just the realistic piano action? Is M7 quieter? Why is that a deal-breaker? Are you recording vocals on one track while recording piano on another?

Rockin 😃😍✌
The video sound capture for the video should have been done directly from the mixer instead of mic’ed from the room.
Please re-upload the video with stereo-sound…..
the sound of the Montage is in Mono..
Huh?
@@shannonroberts5080 the sound is in mono, not stereo. It should be in stereo.
@shehzadamurthy1983 If your Montage is mono then it needs to be repaired. I can assure you it is stereo.
That's great. All acoustic instruments and vocals are in mono, why synths shouldn't?
@@alicaramba7680 But... It's not mono...
Totally disagree. The keybed is fantastic. Great feel and balance.

Action could be a little quicker for me (I like playing fast boogie licks and repeat same-note strikes often) but overall it is very good!
@@fizgak is it a lot better than the CP/YC 88?

@@shannonroberts5080 For persons deeply in depression any unwanted noise is a huge disturbance.
@@alicaramba7680 Yeah, I don't see the problem.
It's no more noisy than any weighted keyboard I've played.

I hope this wasn’t a serious comment. If you or someone living with you is this sensitive then the M8x shouldn’t be of concern.
