if you make the cutter blade to switchable to deep bevel for the curved frames and then you take that to shows, you will be rich. Because even now there are so many people have advance edgers and they are always breaking down with stupid small pieces and computer sencors... so what you need is a good grover and deep bevel.
Indeed so many optical stores in China and India are using this machine today. It's not an Essilor Kapper, but it does the most job in a little manual way and costs much less.
AGREE 100% If you could get a V-Bevel on the lens and if it cuts POLY, I will personally help us get rich. So many jobs could be done in-house for a lot less.
This is useless , never shown how the lens is finish with bevel ing option , this would work for logo mount adding a groove , what about V bevel ing ????
+DEW 1 up If U had enough budget, you can buy a full automatic edger. But for the opticians without enought budget, what they could work with? This machine is design for them. The processing of lens cutting is devided into few steps. Each step use different machine with only one or two functions. The template here used should be bigger 1mm or more if you want to make a bevel in next step. If you want to make a groove in next step, the tamplate should be exactly the size you want and then you use the groover to do the next work. There is also polisher to do the finish work.
