That muscle-bound black guy with the rocket-launcher looks hilarious. He should make a modern cameo in something totally unrelated, like Soul Calibur. That would make my day ^_^
I used to play this game with my buddy! We used to love this game and would play it for hours the game never got old. I never had a Saturn but my buddy did so we would lock ourselves away for a weekend and play this Duke Nukem for N64 like mad, out in the woods in a tent with 3 or 4 extension cords sprawling all the way out lol!
Sega loaded up many of their Saturn games and arcades of the day with "funky jamz". Daytona, Sega Rally, Super GT, Virtua Cop, Virtual On, etc. More recently, the various (crappy) sonic games and Outrun 2006/Arcade also have awesome soundtracks.
4:16 " Pretty Bold aren't we I'll take care of you my self" is what he says . I played this game for ever one of the best best sega saturn games Imo. played soo much that i can could make out the crappy speaking of this boss.
I own Virtua Cop 2, with the blue SEGA gun which I might track down an orange one after seeing the review. : ) Good to see something of a SEGA classic again on Classic Game Room, I was beginning to wonder when I would see more classic SEGA titles.
Smokin' Awesome!!!! I love the lightgun rail shooters. I'm pretty sure Virtua Cop 2 got released on the Dreamcast, but I'm having a time getting hold of it. I would add that to my collection of the brilliant; House of the Dead and Confidential Mission.
I don't have a light gun, but I have heard that they won't work. Is there any parpicular reason. I check wikipedia and it just said that they won't work.
Cool, the gunshow will come to town ;) I wonder if the orange gun is made from the same mold as the blue saturn gun. (I own two of those) Reminds me I want a replica Robocop gun. *logsontoebay*
You can get Virtua Cop Elite Edition on PS2 which is just the first and second games, only on PS2. Pretty sweet, and saves me buying a Sega Stunner just for 2 games.
"pretty bold aren't we?? i'll take care of you myself!" i used to own this game and all these years later, that was the first time i understood what he said. now the second part before his death...still can't figure it out.
I love this game, plus Virtual On and Daytona. I'm thinking to buy Saturn just to play these games wtf! By the way, u have a sexy actor voice, or a real cop lol I bought xbox 360 and nintendo wii, but xbox 360 Daytona USA and Virtual On sucks on it - it's not like the original Arcade!
omggg i haveeee the second 1 and to this day it is still one of my vave satutn games. but sadly i didnt ever get the chance to play the 1st one. looks good though!!
The boss in the first stage looks like the same boss in VIRTUA COP 2 after that big car chase in the same type of construction area.. Virtua cop 2 is also available on the Dreamcast and It play's well on that system too, it's just a great game.. VC2 on Dreamcast is on the Complete Sega Smash Pack Volume 1 game disk. I don't think there was a volume 2, does anyone know?? Maybe it was only out in Japan, I'll in Tokyo for 2 months so when I'm in Japan next month, I'll check it out..
I used rent this game along with Sega Saturn -- horrific Hollywood Video's charged $299 to rent Sega Saturn game system that local mom and pop charged for less than $20 to rent Sega Saturn! WTF! Thanks goodness for Hollywood Video has been dead; and I glad to beat this game with my friend of neighbor's son. Good times! :)
What always throws me off is when the screen pans towards every threat. The worst is when it pans to a far distance, which doesn't give you enough time to neutralize the enemy as he READIES his firearm. Easy solution is to spam your revolver!!!
I used to always make sure I shot every virtua bad guy three times in his virtua balls. Screw virtua headshots. Virtua groinshots are far more virtua entertaining.
Yeah sometimes good comments seem to get minused for no reason. Probably some a-hole who isn't a CGR fan. Just picking random targets. Anyways yeah I had Time Crisis 2 for my PS2 and it was a blast to play at home. I wish I could play it again these days on my lcd tv.
Mark, your show has felt like an old friend to me for several years. Thank you.
That muscle-bound black guy with the rocket-launcher looks hilarious. He should make a modern cameo in something totally unrelated, like Soul Calibur. That would make my day ^_^
I can't even imagine how many hours I used to spend playing this! Awesome video
That’s bad ass
My god the music and gameplay are still awesome!
I haven't played this in a decade.
man this is one of my favoritest games of all time. Projected horned Owl also, on ps1... but Virtua Cop was the best.. developed in 94, outstanding...
This game was when you were on college, i played it when i was 5 in 99', now i'm in college and i miss this game.

Great game. Can't wait for the Virtua Cop 2 review!
This game is, and always will be, awesome. There's a certain "cheese" factor that I love about it. "Help me! Don't shoot me!" Awesome review as usual.
4:16 " Pretty Bold aren't we I'll take care of you my self" is what he says . I played this game for ever one of the best best sega saturn games Imo. played soo much that i can could make out the crappy speaking of this boss.
I used to play with the Stunner all the time when I played this and Virtua Cop 2 with my dad as a kid.
I used to play VC2 with my dad all the time when I was a little kid. Hell, we still do from time to time.
And the House of the dead series which was brilliant
Great review as always
And by the way, at 4:16, the guy said "Pretty bold, aren't we? I'll take care of you myself."
i remember playing this trying not to miss a single shot
I own Virtua Cop 2, with the blue SEGA gun which I might track down an orange one after seeing the review. : )
Good to see something of a SEGA classic again on Classic Game Room, I was beginning to wonder when I would see more classic SEGA titles.
Oh, man. I used to love this game. Now I feel like bringing out my Saturn from my closet.
I remember this game :D, I played it in the arcades. Its awesome.
Nice mention of Monty Python an the Holy Grail! Love that movie!
"how innocent can they really be? they should thank you. it's an honor to be shot by rage, not the other guy though" :-D
that was virtua awesome
Smokin' Awesome!!!!
I love the lightgun rail shooters.
I'm pretty sure Virtua Cop 2 got
released on the Dreamcast, but
I'm having a time getting hold of
it. I would add that to my
collection of the brilliant; House of

AHH YEAH one of my top 3 favorite saturn games of all time, no wait, favorite game in general.
Oh man I wish I had the Stunner still. I still have Virtua Cop tho at least. Awesome video.
4:14 "Baby-bo don't wee, I'll take care of you myself" :P lol
Me and my dad used to play this and the second Virtua Cop. One of us played with the Stunner and another one used a controller.
lmao at the guy being shot at 2:24
Is it the deinterlacing that causes the artifacts when the screen flashes? I noticed the same effect on the muzzle flash in the Riddick reviews.
I loved virtual cop 2 in the Arcade! Sega if your reading my comment please reboot the Virtual cop series!
4:11 Ah, that wonderful Sega game voiceacting...
light guns dont work on lcd tvs right? i think i heard that somewhere lol ive been to lazy to hook any of my old systems up to my new tv
oh man, I had this on the PC when I was like, 12 or 13. I could get through that game without getting shot once.
"Wait! i give up, I give up! I'll tell you what you want to know about our racket... gotcha!"
Heh, I love how I just got this game in the mail today. Looking forward playing it.
I don't have a light gun, but I have heard that they won't work. Is there any parpicular reason. I check wikipedia and it just said that they won't work.
I just fucking love these types of games, release them all in a box set for PS3, 360, Wii and i will most certainly buy a light gun!
i loveeeee this game i played the arcade all the time
Cool, the gunshow will come to town ;)
I wonder if the orange gun is made from the same mold as the blue saturn gun.

He said "Pretty Bold, aren't we? I'll take care of you myself"
Will the Saturn light gun work with a Plasma TV?
"Ahahaha! Pretty bold aren't we? I'll take care of you myself!"
MANOFGOD9000 Never could understand the first bit so thanks for clearing that up.
I can now die in peace 😬👍🏻
wich is better VIRTUAL COP Or Time Crisis 1??
"I picked up Virtua Cop, Virtua Cop 2 and the Sega Stunner... for ten dollars." Yeah, 2009 was a pretty cool time.
The says "pretty bold aren't we? I'll take care of you myself"
We need more Cop games, where we can shoot justice at the criminals & arrest the survivors.
GO VIRTUA COP!!!
@seangames111
No, you need a CRT (old style) TV for the light gun to function. It won't work with a modern LCD or Plasma flatscreen unfortuantely.
It takes a hour or 2 for youtube to process the HD version
The Sega Stunner is just about the most accurate lightgun out there.
I like this game more than the original Time Crisis.
I have played this one time on arcade cab. Not a bad game.
Me and my dad used to play this. 1 of us played with the Stunner, and the other one played with a controller
does the gun work on flat screens??? someone please tell me! time crisis ps1 gun did not!
Can someone really explain WHY the light guns won't work with LCD and Plasma screens?
This review needs more VIRTUA.
this game rocks i saw it in the thrift store for 3 bucks in great condition
I loved this game. I recommend that.
Sega needs to hop back into the next console gen with the "Sega Virtua"
" pretty bold arent we?? I'll take of you myself"
Time crisis would b an intresting review to see on CGR.
"he must VIRTUALpay for he VIRTUALsins" xD
you are VIRTUALgreat VIRTUALman!!!
Everything that 3D or Virtual is good......back in 90's
"pretty bold aren't we?? i'll take care of you myself!" i used to own this game and all these years later, that was the first time i understood what he said. now the second part before his death...still can't figure it out.
LOL. More than 15 years later.
From retro to future. Crazy.
@green97probe, correct answer. I wish I have own a CRT for order to work with light gun like NES duck hunt and anything.
I love this game, plus Virtual On and Daytona. I'm thinking to buy Saturn just to play these games wtf! By the way, u have a sexy actor voice, or a real cop lol I bought xbox 360 and nintendo wii, but xbox 360 Daytona USA and Virtual On sucks on it - it's not like the original Arcade!

i loved this game!
"It's only a model!"
"Shh!"
:D
Yeah I do, but I don't really have space for it in my room. I don't have a very big room.
I wish I had my own place. That would rock.
i have this awesome game, I miss game
Second part of what he says is something like that: "Wait, I give up my ????. I'll talk what you wanna know about a ????"
"not the other guy thou" lol
I got the Japanese version of this game with the gun. It's black and so much cooler lol. :P
Typical awsome AM 2 music:D
Yay, spread the good word about the Saturn.
The boss in the first stage looks like the same boss in VIRTUA COP 2 after that big car chase in the same type of construction area.. listen to the beat of the falling men at 2:05 in the video
can u give me the link 2 download
it comes with 2 sensor bars so it can be used like a wiimote
@green97probe What about Dreamcast?
This game reminds me of Starsky and Hutch =) except its with Rage and the other guy.
So your saying the guy who I am replying to who said "i was born in 1995 haha" isn't 14? That makes fucking sense.
this was a good game man
wow the saturn had great graphics
Do times crisis 1, project Titan and time crisis 2 sir!
What always throws me off is when the screen pans towards every threat. The worst is when it pans to a far distance, which doesn't give you enough time to neutralize the enemy as he READIES his firearm.
Easy solution is to spam your revolver!!!
0:20 Being that muscley can't be healthy...
I was at the castle too mark :)
/internet high five
Light guns usually don't work on flatscreen tvs.
i played the arcade version it was fun
thank you
you probably shouldn't mess with a cop nicknamed Rage.
i just virtua subscribed
I used to always make sure I shot every virtua bad guy three times in his virtua balls. Screw virtua headshots. Virtua groinshots are far more virtua entertaining.
4:48 I don't know what he said, but I think he had a stroke.
Where is the blood?
The PS3 has the Guncon 3 for time crisis
Who else used to shoot the computers for fun on the office level???
Yeah sometimes good comments seem to get minused for no reason. Probably some a-hole who isn't a CGR fan. Just picking random targets.
Anyways yeah I had Time Crisis 2 for my PS2 and it was a blast to play at home. I wish I could play it again these days on my lcd tv.
Dont fuck with me mike.
