  • More jazz chords and fooling around in standard. Also got a new guitar baby!!!!!!!!!! Squire Classic Vibe 60's. Also that tapping section wasn't quite as smooth as planned.

Sean Lawlor thanks man I appreciate that! I usually have a hard time finding emo/Midwest sounds in standard so that means a lot!

I got the same guitar in butterscotch and they sound great. Keep making these riffs man they are something else

Thanks so much man! I was tempted by the butterscotch one too, squiers are really great bang for the buck. I really wanted a tele with a rosewood neck so that's why I choose this one!

Dude this is really dope! Where did you learn those chords?

Juan Aguirre hey Juan! There's a channel called Let's talk about math rock where I learned 9th chords and a few other chords from. Other than that I just play around with shapes and sounds adding and subtracting notes until I find cool chords!

I'm new to playing guitar sooo I was wondering if u have any advice for the first chord cause I always seem to be mutinting all the strings after the pinky

They're hard chords to start with, but they're really useful and fun shapes. It sounds like you need to build up your flexibility and strength in your left hand. Try putting a capo on like the 4th fret, then playing the chords relative to the capo. The frets higher up the neck are smaller so you won't have to stretch as much. Then when you get the hang of them with a capo on 4, try moving it down the neck to 3..2..1.. then none!
