I've struggled for years to develop an iPad-based system, but it's the software for PC that keeps calling me back to the dark side of Windows! ;) Last thing I need is another laptop.

Thanks for the video! A couple of hopefully helpful comments... When you were trying to set the scale in Studio One it should have been set to G# Dorian as Scalar was set to Ab Dorian. It would be nice if the DAW would show both for the scale selection like G#/Ab. Secondly you can change the duration of the patterns by selecting edit in the pattern area, and then expand the Playback Timings section. From there you can change the duration of each pattern (referenced from the Global Chord Duration setting). So if your Global Chord Duration is set to 2 beats setting the pattern duration to X2 would play that chord in the pattern for 4 beats. There are a bunch of other cool things you can do in the edit area as well..

I went in Studio One and loaded Scaler 2 to check that Suggest feature. Couldnt find it... Then I realized it is a feature from 2.5 update and I was still using 2.4.1! Thanks for that too, man! 😉

Hey man, thanks for the nice video! I came back to music several months ago and I am using Scaler 2 a lot. I LOVE Circle of 5ths inside the Scaler together with option 5 - modulation, where it suggests whole progressions, also midi capture and drag and drop that you have already show. Even tho I use it a lot, I learned two new awesome things from you. One at 7:20 - one note on keyboard for whole chord and other at 27:57 - suggest feature! 😊 Speaking of that A button on right side, I wonder what B and C are there for? B is actually lit and C is not, I am not sure what those are for?

If you dont like their sounds, you can drag and drop in Studio One or any DAW and just use midi and change sounds.
I am still trying to find out how to get my Komplete Kontrol Keyboard to work with scaler 2 using Ableton Live 11. I can't get it to work/ no sound 🙄😳😢😩🤒🤕
Im not too familiar with Ableton, but in your MIDI settings you should be able to set it as an output/input etc.
How much of this is applicable to the iPad version, I wonder? That'd be version 2.
That's a good question, i would have to really try it out on the IPAD to see. I'm sure you should be able to find chards and use the performance mode, but the drag and drop to a DAW might be different.
@@GotBettaBeats Right. Exactly what I was referring to. Drag-and-drop isn't an iPad capability, except within some apps. Just not between apps.
