Hi. I very much enjoy--and have learned from your videos. My needs are really very simple. I am looking between the Casio CTX series, Yamaha PSR series, and this Korg for three things--quality of action (that is most like a Hammond action) electric piano sounds, and organ tones (by far the most important). What put the Korg in the mix was their "dark organ" voice--very nice indeed. That voice is very close to the settings I habitually use on my Hammond. Thanks for your help, opinion, and advice.
Love that this one has indirectly the sound engine of beast korg Triton. It came first on pa1x, 80,60,50 and finally on this affordable ek50

Update 2.9 has a software bug.
Headphone output doesn't work properly.
You can barely hear a sound when you plug headphones in.
Tried everything, even downgrading, but didn't helped.

It's Golden Week in China where the EK-50 is produced and initial production delays is affecting my unit. BUT Korg will be lending me the demo unit for another day this coming weekend. Anything in particular you would like to know? Maybe a live stream?😂
Congrats on your E463 acquisition. A pity the chord on bass doesn't work. BTW effects doesn't get applied to live audio in but can be applied to recorded audio samples.
I will also be meeting Casio Asia HQ this week. Let's see if I can convince them to let me have sample Casio units for demos and reviews.
Jeremy See Hi Jeremy it would be nice to hear the bread and butter piano, electric piano, organ and synth lead sounds, as well as some of the styles (in my case EDM and jazz styles). If you just play some music so that we can have an idea of the sound quality and playability of the EK50 it would also be great. Thanks 😎
Moim zdaniem korgi powinny być produkowane w Japonii a nie w Chinach bo teraz wszystko robią w Chinach Jakby produkowali w Japonii te sprzęty to by się nie psuły te wyświetlacze i Płyty Główne w korgu pa600 tak było ze po dwóch latach gwarancji płyta Główna siadła

EK50 is better for performing. CT-X5000 is better for music production
Ek 50 is far better than ctx
@@priyanshusullere7524 its really hard to choose, coz its arbitry...one has nice features while the other doesnt....for ex, at sound touch quality, the CTX has a nice ending modulated realistic sound, while EK 50 is pretty flat ending sound...or CTX has all deep editing features that Korg doesnt have any...and so on...
@@JeremySee EK50 better performing, i might say that E463 would be slight better somehow...its very cheesy aspects...
But is E463 also for performing, in your opinion ?
I really like EK 50 but sad not available online, so i decided to buy psr e463 my first and new keyboard

Hi Jeremy, I really enjoy seeing all your videos. This maybe a stupid question. I have Korg PA600. I like the sounds and patterns on PA600. What I don't like are it is so complicated to operate, and it is just so heavy! Maybe they are apples and oranges. But, does EK50 someway come close to PA600, or no? Maybe even excel in some area? Would I be happy with EK50 already having PA600? Are sound quality that much different? I am interested to get it. Thanks!
Thank you for watching. Do subscribe if you have not done so. You are right the PA600 is a complicated keyboard to operate. The EK-50 has many sounds & styles from the PA600 but is much easier to operate. But it has less features though. For me, the EK-50 is more suitable for entertaining and playing songs.

Yes. And you can adjust how strong to be.

I borrowed this keyboard from my local music shop. Let me take them home to test them. And I was actually quite impressed, and has some nice sounds. It's just a pity they didn't put 5 pin din midi in. I know cost-cutting but surely that wouldn't have made it more much more expensive. Even the first model is plenty loud enough for busking. I mean it's ridiculous you're not allowed to use an amp in my city when you are busking. So I'm hoping something like this might be a workaround. That's even got decent speakers
