I'm not saying that accidents won't/don't happen but everybody knows that this corner is narrow so the drivers should approach with caution. Slow down, use up the horn, and listen for on-coming vehicles. Even if the blue tucks was on his side there still would have been a collision.
A lot of these drives don't use their common sense. It rough. This is easily a few million dollars worth of damage right there.
Plus factor in the lost earnings from both trucks for however long they are out of service. SMH

Nobody wants to wait. I tried to passed a truck one day blowing my horn and the truck driver turned the truck across the road in front of me

The white truck driver was obviously speeding, and the driver with the loaded truck was not keeping to his left.
I think it’s about time Jamaica widen those narrow roads and use those like Rio Cobre Gorge Road as a heritage trail

There is something really fascinating about a scene like this. It's hard to explain, somehow a combination of almost theater, facts and circumstances, physicality, culture, nationality, and especially the people characters. You have everyone in a life 'role', the drivers, the wrecker crew, the policemen, the dreads Rastas always cool and thinking, the onlookers, the passerbys. After it's established that no one is injured (thank you Jah), the scene takes a different feeling, seeking a practical resolution to the physical matter, with all the character influencing different approaches. The senior men like the wreckers using their experience, police making documentation, the truckers thinking on their mistakes and concern for future ... I'm a 'non-melanin' man who has spent alot of time in West Africa on business and know the superb people there well, and this scene massively reminds me of similar scenes there, the interaction of the Brothers, in a community way that is hard to explain but very amazing to witness. There is a universality to the Motherland way that is really strong and good, and I'm of the school that believes any confusion comes from that long ugly history of non-African interventions. Two trucks are in the middle road. Check out the red truck from behind and look how far the wrecker pulled it to the left. The tail of the truck is clearly way outside his lane. Man them need to drive more cautiously. Sad sad situation.
The communication of the Horn is the problem some one didn't comply truckers dont blow when approaching corners
Its all to do with road craft,knowing the type of road you are driving on,watching your speed.
These are narrow roads so you need to drive with extreme caution.
Be extremely careful drivers. ounu tink ounu know di road and sometimes take it for granted. You all cannot be too careful - just saying. The good Lord be with you all as you traverse these hazardous roadways. Thank God no life was lost.

jamaica needs to import more better heavy duty wreckers to move these trucks. I was cringing looking at that rail thin cable moving that truck even if it was empty. and for safety sake, mandem need to back up away from the cable. you never know when it can snap

Hello to all commenters,the white body Truck is not wrong as you can see,he is on the extreme left side he has nowhere to go. The one coming up made the mistake,either by speed or misjudged because the other came down on him suddenly and he did not stop. Just look at the amount of space the one coming up had on his left side,why did he not used up that space since he could see that side being a left-hand drive Truck?.
Everyone is just driving crazy on the road and no caution with common senses taken, drivers drive carefully, slowly all life's is important please.

I always thought my Jamaican people were smart if that cable snaps it will cut you in half like butter they need to stand back from the cable.
Those cable under tension always scare me to death. I am always lecturing my friends to stand back. I have seen cables snap or the attachment point break away and, like you say, the result can be a bloody catastrophe. I don't know why people don't see this obvious danger. It's a universal issue, not just in Jamaica...

No comonsense too meny idlers thats what the problem is, people must learn to keep there distance when these opperation is taking place,so that you don't add onto an exesting problem.
You can see that the white truck being hauled away first is wrong as it was him who was in the middle of the road. The blue truck driver went as far as he could to the side but that wasn’t enough to save his truck. Of course this had to be speeding as a cause.

Won’t the transmission be damaged if you don’t remove the drive shaft when towing trucks on you can just neutral it and it good ?
