  • In late autumn on a cold and frosty but sunny morning, we head along the Colliers Way cycle track, starting from the village of Kilmersdon (home to the Jack n Jill nursery rhyme) we head towards Frome, before turning around after about 5km and heading back to Kilmersdon.

Thank you for these. As a wheelchair user getting out into the countryside is difficult, so being able to watch videos such as this means I can see whether or not a route is accessible before trying it

Thank you Christopher. I'm really pleased I can help you discover more of the countryside. Are you local? Most of the routes I run and film are not wheelchair accessible, so hopefully at least these videos will allow you to see places in a way that you wouldn't otherwise have the opportunity to do.

I live in south Somerset. So I don’t think I’m too far away. I find cycle paths made from disused railways useful. Have you done the strawberry line or north Dorset trailway?

@@christophergray2660 my parents actually recently moved close to a section of the Strawberry Line, so I have walked a small part of it. I do plan to record one or more runs along it, but at the moment the path is very patchy, but they are making good progress and seem to be opening new sections all the time. The section I walked along I'd say would be fine it you have a wheelchair like a Mountain Trike because the surface is gravel, so I'm assuming most of the Strawberry Line is gravel surface. I didn't know about the Dorset trailway, I'll check it out and probably add it to my (long) list of places to film, thanks :)

Another enjoyable run, I forgot to turn up my volume but do many of the people you pass say "Good morning" when you pass them?

Thank you Peter. It's a real mix, I never know if someone is going to say anything. I always try to avoid speaking to people because I want the video to be non-speaking). If the path is wide I tend to focus straight ahead and not look at people, but if someone says hello or the path is narrow and they have to move for me, I usually smile and wave/thumbs up instead of speaking!

Stunning. Your videos would be perfect without the occasional “scenic camera turns” as it takes away from the immersion of watching on a tv while running on a treadmill at 6 mph, also causes me to lose my balance. I’m sure other fellow treadmill runners would agree. Thanks for the great work!

Thank you for the feedback Hector. You are right, a lot of people commented the same as you. So, since spring this year I've stopped turning the camera when recording new runs, but I do of course still have these older videos where the camera still turns. I didn't think I panned the camera in this video, maybe I did it once or twice, I can't remember!
