@@colbycarithers Nice yea it sounds dope bro!! How do you like the bm3 tune? Debating between that or jb4. Are you ruunning stock exhaust or aftermarket?
kolbyhtx 713 it’s stock MPE with resonators deleted. BM3 is definitely the way to go! It drives just like stock, tons of power when you need it. There are other cool features, like cold start delete, burble adjusting, etc. I’m probably going to turn off burbles completely, I like hearing the turbo noises over the pops
Glad the video helps, I was trying to capture the normal sounds I hear driving every day rather than flybys and such. Catless will always be smelly, but it’s really only if your standing outside the car. Even driving with windows down I don’t really smell it.
Colby Carithers i started out with a catless downpipe on my 240 before I got the tune. I didn’t like how loud the cold starts were and didn’t like the smell so I got a 200cell catted version. Now that I’m tuned I can turn off cold start and I’ve read the smell isn’t as noticeable after being tuned so I’m wondering if you noticed a change. I still have the catless sitting around and hearing your car made me rethink it haha.
Jacob Dumanski yeah cold start delete even catless is very quiet, nice for my apartments.. when I put my stock DP and tune back on the cold start was so loud lol. I never really noticed the smell, especially after the tune
I LOVE how this sounds. When I watch other straightpipe videos I see not everybody has that diesel cummins turbo noise like this one. Do you know why yours has that’s amazing sound? My future setup is going to be muffler delete, dual resonater delete, catless downpipe, and intake. I really hope I get that same turbo noise
Deleting the resonators made the turbo noise a lot louder. The AP intake helps a lot too. With that setup, you will for sure get that sound. I’d try to leave the mufflers, and do everything else you listed with a good tune. Then see if you want it louder and delete the mufflers
I have a M240I but from UK. Exhaust is currently a downpipe, with stock muffler box then into a res into a MPE. In uk it comes with no valve. I have very very minimal drone at 70mph but thinking of taking out the middle muffler for some more noise. Hows your drone?
Surprisingly I had no drone on the highway, you definitely hear the exhaust under load, but it’s more of a low tone rather than annoying drone. You won’t regret it!
@@joshforeland6579 muffler delete might be too obnoxious if you’re looking for no drone. But honestly I thought of doing a full straight pipe before I got rid of it

I’d keep the resonators. Imo it’s the best balance of exhaust and intake noise. You hear the turbo spool a ton more without resonators but it’s waaaay louder on the inside.
I changed it multiple times, but in these clips I think it was max aggression but like 0.5 sec duration. So I would just get 2-3 good bangs rather than annoying popcorn. But I started keeping it in comfort mode so no pops on decel- all pure turbo spool and i6 noises😎
@@colbycarithers yeah heard they’re more reliable than the n54 and n55 I just seen that a vanos solenoid is one of the problems that can occur, have you experienced any problems with that or with coolant loss?
