Very informative. Mine just got wet on keyboard part, had to open it up and let it dry. About cleaning,if you don't have a paste, can laptop still continue to work or it may overheat?

Regarding your question, To ensure that your laptop operates smoothly and doesn't encounter overheating issues, it's important to follow these steps:
If you have lifted the heatsink and cleaned off the old thermal paste, it is crucial to apply a thermal paste before reassembling the heatsink. Failure to do so may result in the laptop shutting down after a few minutes of operation as it exceeds safe temperature limits.
When the thermal paste is not applied, the CPU and GPU can reach high temperatures, causing the cooling fan to spin at maximum speed. This can result in a noise similar to that of a jet engine. Moreover, the excessive heat generated can potentially damage the components of your laptop.
Therefore, it is highly recommended that you apply a thermal paste between the heatsink and the processor. This will facilitate efficient heat transfer and ensure the temperature remains within safe operating limits.
By taking these steps, you can prevent overheating issues, maintain optimal laptop performance, and extend the lifespan of your device.

I haven't cleaned it the paste it has just the fan. My son poured drops of milk on the keyboard that made me reassemble my Folio laptop. I did put parts outside to dry including the motherboard. Is there any chance of it coming back to 'life'.
