- Time lapse and drone shots of rural Churches all over Saskatchewan filmed over 4 years. Most of these Churches are abandoned or are rarely used and are being cared for my locals. Subscribe to watch 5 more Saskatchewan films this spring/summer.
This video will be part of the 25 minute Forgotten Saskatchewan film coming out in 2020 that will be made available for free for any museum, library, learning institution or retirement center who wants to use it.

hi, thanks for this beautiful monument. I wonder; are there no burial grounds at those churches? In The Netherlands where I live, they are often around or beside a church.
Yes there are close by
At 2:31 the Greek Orthodox Church is in Maryville, just north of St. Helen's Church, not far from the river. Unfortunately Google Maps only allows you to zoom in and the gravel country roads are not named.
they use to be community centers for the people and in some cases it was used as a school aswell
I've been photography rural churches in Saskatchewan, Alberta, and British Columbia now for about 15 years. A subject I never get bored of.

I am an organist. I can play the organ in any available church in saskatoon. I am a new student in the university of Saskatchewan. Presently in quarantine
Nice work. I always forget the dolly zoom when flying, adds a nice touch. For the timelapses, do you use photos or sped up video? And how do you get the slow camera motion during the timelapses?
I use photos and I use a timelapse dolly by dynamic perceptions.
I would have liked to know the names and where they are located. I look forward to more vids.
the fields should not have been plowed arounf these churches by land grant roads to churches and church lands belong to thge church a farmer did this to a frave yard bt yorkton he had his fir;ld cut anf the road had to be put back at his exopense

Why the spooky music? This is a beautiful piece of history that is unfortunately very long forgotten. The faith and strength of our ancestors should be rejoiced and remembered.
It's sad atmospheric music. The entire video and the soon to be released Forgotten Saskatchewan film is a celebration of our ancestors and the way they joyfully overcame adversity and endured.
Spooky? It’s not like he was playing Slayer for background music.
