Refreshing to find an English video amongst a surfeit of US ones! I couldn't work out why there are tail threads on both sides, maybe I missed something as the camera was aimed quite low so I often couldn't see the whole thing
So sorry about the video quality on this video, I had a very lo-fi set up back then! The tail threads all get pulled to the inside of the top at the end :)
beautiful work! I am planning to mend a delicate t-shirt too- trying to decide on thread and needle- I would love to know what you used for this one? I tried with embroidery floss but the full 6 strands seemed too much. Do you ever split floss?
Hey Chloe, it depends how much slack you're getting - a little is fine! But if you're noticing it's too much then use the tail threads you have at the start and end of your warp threads to tighten them as you're weaving in, that should help :)
Thank you. For loose fitting clothing like this I will just knot the ends off. For anything close fitting I will thread the tail threads back up and weave them in

Thanks so much - and yes this is embroidery split down to just two strands and it worked really well! Good luck with your tshirt :)
Splendido risultato complimenti!
Thank you so much! :)
Darn the torpedoes
I'll be here all week
How do you keep the tension of the warp threads? Mine keep going slack as I'm doing the weft and it's driving me insane!

Great video! What do you do with the loose ends on the wrong side?

Wouuuuu !!!! Muchas gracias !
Could you turn up the volume on your microphone? I have the volume up on my computer and on this video as high as it will go.
Apologies, I didn't have a microphone when filming this!
Be nice if we could see...
