Best instructions I’ve found so far. Lots of people overrely on video production here, clarity in instructions is harder to find.
Thank you. I try very hard to be clear so that they are easy to follow. 😀
This one is the best one I've found so far to explain this process.
Thank you. Enjoy using yours and getting creative! 🙂
Thank you, Christine! Yours is the only video on here that really shows exactly what to do in order to get a nice patch. I’ve been trying my look for months and finally I found this tutorial and it clicked! I appreciate you!
I am so glad it helped. It can seem really hard at the start but once you master it you are away! Enjoy your patches! 😀
Just purchased a speed loom and your video is the best explanation. I was a bit confused with starting. You have so helped me. Thank you.
My pleasure! I am glad it helped. 😀
Thank you so much!! I have never done this before and found another method using an embroidery hoop but it wasn't working for me. I came across this and now I made my first patch!
Fabulous! It is so enjoyable once you get the hang of it, isn't it? 😀
Thanks for explaining it so simply! I completely understand everything!
Fabulous! Now, enjoy that mending! 😀
Great instructional video. Plus loved the cat helping.💕
Thank you for your feedback. So glad it helped you. Emily is often helping! 😂
Thank you for such an informative video! I was able to mend my child's clothes! 😁
Fabulous. They are great once you get the hang of them! 😀
Thanks, Christine; I was using the sharp end of the needle to weave. No wonder I kept having to pull it out and redo the row. Now I know to use the bunt end!
Yes, it really is easier with the blunt end. Enjoy your mending! 😀
Thank you for this video. I’ve been thinking about getting into visible mending particularly for my work clothes which get abused and it’s been about 10 years since middle school where we learned some basic sewing/hand mending.
These really are great little devices and you can create all sorts of patterns and designs. 😀
Much appreciated! This was a very helpful video and I hope my comment helps your video find other folks who need it
Thank you for such a lovely comment. I am glad it helped you. 😀
Thanks. This was a great help!
Wonderful video
Very helpful, thank you so much!
I am glad it helped. 😀

Thanks . Ecellent explanation of the process. Bravo. 🥰
I am so glad it helped you. 😀
Yay I just got one thanks now off to try and watch again 😊
Enjoy learning. They are fun to use. 😀
Hi Christine, thank you so much for this kind and informative video. It has helped me feel much more confident starting out with my speed weaver, and to get cracking on the backlog of jeans I have that need repairing. Emily seems like a great helper as well :) cheers
Thank you. I am glad that you found it helpful. If yours is anything like mine the instructions are nearly non-existent. Emily is fabulous but I am not sure she is much help! 😄
great thanks. now to find your heart pattern!
Thank you. 😀
hi christine ! this is the best instructional video i have seen by far thank you!! question though my thread keeps falling off the loops when i start to weave with a new color do you have any tips on how to get them to stay on?
It may be that you are not getting the thread tight enough to hold in place. Or perhaps not secure enough to keep that tension at all. You can always add an extra stitch at the end of your thread if it keeps being a problem.
I hope this helps. 😀
Great video! What needle are you using?
It is just a standard needle that my embroidery thread is in. Any embroidery needle will do. The long needle to press the threads down came in the kit I bought.😀
Just got such a darning loom today. 😊👍 So you don't secure the edges of the hole by stitching around it first, or something? I'm a bit worried that it might get bigger underneath the patch. 🤷
You don't need to but it won't do any harm if you want to do that first. Just make sure that they are hidden by your patch.
Enjoy your patching! 🙂
Would you please tell me what kind of thread are you using?
I am using an ordinary embroidery thread, sometimes called embroidery floss. You can get them in just about any colour. 🙂
😍🙏🌷🇧🇷
I use soap to make mark.
Very helpful video!
Great idea as it will definitely wash off! 😀
Thanks. You are right, the instructions that come with the device are not complete for a total newbie at speedweving. Your video is very helpful.🪡😃
I really struggled when I first got mine! Yet, it is easy once you get the hang of it. 😀
Have done 2 now, quite pleased, although I find it difficult to keep the edges neat. It's the rustic look I'm after anyway. 😀 @@ChristinesCrafts
I agree about the rustic edges. I am the same! 😀@@SallyKnyvett
