Sadly I am trying to go in the opposite direction. Trying to find the shortest OEM strut setup possible. Running a DC integra and need it a bit lower without aftermarket. But really great video.
Thanks for this video! I have a 95 Integra RS stripped down streetcar JDM GS-R motor and lsd trans. I even already happen to have the ball style Type R rear control arm WOOT! The goal is to fit Falcon Wildpeaks 215-65 r16 (27.2” dia). Thanks to you I think I’ll be able to pull it off with the with CRV all the way around.
this actually helped me alot i want to go 14 inch steel wheels on a 88-91 sedan but dont want to lower it either i want a taller sitting car ,maybe just change the 88-91 shocks instead for a different year
Great video! I have a 1995 Honda Del Sol. Can I use take offs from a newer Honda for the front and rear? I am looking for an OEM ride, but the OEM are no longer available for the Del sol. Thank you
So this is an oddball request as I'm about to lift my 1st gen Odyssey. The CRV rear strut/coil works because a few guys have run them BUT to drop their Ody so I'm wondering if a stock CRV rear strut will raise the rear of my Odyssey?
When using the 96 to 98 civic rear struts. What part do you grind down the strut bracket or the control arm ? Please get back to me as soon as possible. Thank you
So i have a 94 integra crv struts on the front. from your video says 2.5inches longer giving 5-6inches of lift. i have stock integra struts in rear. without doing a subframe drop. should i buy the 1.5inch or 2inch spacers? i want to level it out the best i can. or should i remove crv struts and just do 1.5in all the way around???
I have a 99 crv .. with coilovers.. but that are shot .. I like a little stance look ... is there a factory strut that's shorter than the first gen crv strut .from another Honda? just not trying to spend 500+ on suspension again
I didnt see the 90-93 accord fronts for comparison which seems to be the most common when you search lifting a wagon..whats the difference between 94-97 accord vs 90-93 accord?
Looking at lifting 2004 civic dx sedan. From what iv read i can use crv front struts to lift the front but the rear i need type r lower to be able to use the crv rear is that correct?
struts are the same overall length but the springs are much longer. The spring perch is mounted lower on the strut. I am guessing it is done that way for additional travel
The ones I tested are all within 1/8" of being exactly the same length. I did not get Legend front struts or forks, but will check next time I go to the junk yard, just to see if they are different.
Yes, you can use Accord and CRV parts to lift it but keep in mind anything beyond 2" will result in axle binding and geometry issues. HRG Engineering makes a kit that solves these problems, letting you lift up to 3" see link in description www.hondarescue.com
literally the greatest video to lifted Honda folks. Thank you Ben!
Thanks! I'm going to do an actual comparison installed on all of these in the near future.
Honda Rescue Garage That'd be sick. It'll help having a video to reference people when they have questions.

Do you know if the 89-90 Legend rear would bolt up to a 97 civic DX hatchback?
Do you happen to know the lengths of the crv struts?

Are EF Sedan struts the same length as wagon struts?

Any info on front fork to give a little more lift?

Would any of this work to lift a eg?

How about 92-95 civic?
At the time of the video I could not get my hands on a set. I plan on redoing this whole video, next time I'll actually measure spring rates
