Hi Tony I pruned my Autumn Raspberries in December after a great harvest. I planted some Yellow Raspberries at the same time and they are already starting to grow again. Just need to put in the stakes ready for the season. Love the videom
Hi Tony hope your well, and you was so right about the gardening luck mate as I’ve just bought some summer and autumn raspberry canes today, and was asking Terry king for advice earlier, and then I watched your video straight after and couldn’t believe the content lol. I call that proper gardening luck 😂😂 stay safe, congrats on the 13k subs and thanks for the video , David 👍👍
Hi Tony, Just watch the one's in the tub , I had some in tub I did not move them for about 6 mounth and they start coming out the bottom and popping up in the path 🤦♀️.great video thank you.
omg! its tony! been a starshipsofa fan for a long time. hearing your voice here just was weird! i have a little orchard with lots of berries and fruit trees. love your garden. be well my friend 🙂
I bought Raspberry and Blackberry plants from B&M not much growing info for them on the box, I've planted them in pots for now they have green shoots so I'm hopeful 🙏🙏🤞🤞
Hi Tony, i have a summer raspberry plant i bought this year, its about 5 ft tall now, what do i have to do to it for over winter, am i right in saying it won't fruit the first year, thanks...
I know it’s nothing to do with raspberries but can I please ask where you get the pipe that you hoop over your raised beds and then put the netting over, I’m having problems with squirrels digging all over my garden and want to protect any new veg .
Nice one tony, I just bought some autumn bliss a couple of weeks ago (and some tulameen canes) and don’t have a great spot to put them yet til I get some fencing done so I think I’ll put mine in a big tub too 👍
Hiya Tony. I've just bought some Fall Gold rasberrys. Gona put them into containers as no much space. Do I need to pop in a tomato cage in the same pot to help with support?
Mine grew too big for my largest cage. So I got really long canes and fashioned my own cage, with wire. Mine were in excess of six feet tall! Sadly lost them during the height of the summer heat.
Thank you much Tony, I absolutely love your videos since I discovered them last year in lockdown. I started my vegetable patch in 2020 and am thinking of growing raspberries this year for the first time so perfect timing 😁. One question though- sorry it’s dim but how do you stop birds eating the fruit, do you cover in netting later on? Thanks 😊
Tony, have you ever tried growing mushrooms? Am going to give it a go, buying some spawn plugs on eBay and drill them into logs. Hoy them in a shady spot and away ya go!
Hi Tony, been looking for patio fruit bushes (only have a patio and waiting for news on an allotment) but I get the impression that the raspberry is an ordinary one. Is it an ordinary one and could you please tell me what litre / size pot are you growing it in?
I’ve been trying to grow Fall-Gold yellow raspberries. No success so far, I lose them to the Summer heat, here in Cyprus (45+ C.) pls can anyone tell me if they are fruit on first year canes or second year canes?
I've bought some Autumn Bliss Raspberry plants to put in a pot. Will they spread? as I was going to put two in a pot , unsure as I'm a new gardener ! Help anyone !!
So gad l came across this video👍👍👍 Apologies! Id forgotten ld even subscribed to your channel🤔😢 Because l haven't received the notifications. Thank you once again. Stay safe, stay strong, stay healthy👍🤗 Moira From England.
Hello from British Columbia Canada! I’m really curious about the use of chicken pellets for feeding the raspberries. What nutrients are they providing?
I want to make sure the raspberry roots are fed deep down and the chicken pellets release phosphorus for root development and potassium for fruit and flower growth.
I've just done mine tony , got 3 tubs , cut em back take em out of tubs , take soil off 50% off it and repot with fresh soil and feed
Wish you had a follow-up video to show how the raspberries turned out
It’s great to get the advice - a friend gave me 6 pots of Autumn Bliss canes so I’ll be getting the secateurs out to cut them back!
Oh heck I planted autumn and summer raspberries togeather think I will just prune them all back this week and hope for the best.
I bought the book, Allotment month by Month. Love it. Such a help for a novice like me!
Wow!

Hi there Tony, love the info. Noticed the 'Cavolo Nero' in the beginning of the film. Do you offer them protection against pests?
Started watching your videos recently Tony. Another geordie gardener! wondering if you know the beat method of getting raspberry clippings to root?
Good video Tony👍👍

Nice to see you on t plot , how’s the house coming on?
I'm not sure which mine are should I cut them down? They have kept all their leaves over winter.
Me too just gonna chop them all this week.
