I don't know why people hate it because he's not wearing his suit most of the time. There would be no character development if he was just always in his suit and just owning everyone with little effort. The fact that he had to struggle builds character. That's more important to the plot than just blowing everything up. If you want that, watch a Michael Bay movie.

He uses programs to control armors all the time in the comics. Even if that does leave them vulnerable to villains like Ultron and living laser. Really climatic to have the whole Hall of Armor come to the Rescue.

In the first movie, the final battle was against another person in an iron man suit. They introduced war machine in the 2nd movie. In the 3rd movie he makes a suit for Pepper only to protect her, not shown in this trailer. The suits shown at the end are sentient suits. There is not one in the suits. That's what makes this trailer so amazing.

In the comics, there was War Machine, which is Rodey. Tony also made a protective suit for Pepper, only for protection, not a weapon. AND Tony created sentient armor, which later became an enemy because it purely thought for itself and didn't care for anyone except it's Tony. If you were really an Iron Man fan, you would know that they are not changing the story for attention, it's in the comics.
I was kinda dissapointed with the movie, but not for the obvious reasons that most people say about it. I did not care much for the suits, its almost like the suits were a downgrade from the previous two films.

Yes, he did indeed use the Mark II to build the War machine, but once Tony defeats Hammer Ind. and Whiplash, he takes the War machine and strips it of the Mark II Ironman suit, and builds the War Machine mark II, which is the Iron Patriot in Iron Man 3. Tony took Mark II that he stripped and put it in the hall of armors, which eventually was destroyed.
Couldn't agree more! For those of us who grew up with the likes of Kevin Conroy as the voice of Batman, and Matt Hamil as the voice of the Joker - you know when a Hollywood actor fits the bill --> at their first line.
Its kind of a mix. Iron Patriot is normally an antagonist because Norman Osbourne is in the Iron Patriot suit. Rhodes is war machine but because Osbourne is Sony's property were left with a huge character change so he is like Iron war patriot machine. :P
