Great video Ms. Jackie. And thanks to the Ortiz Family that has shared a bit of love with you for all of us to enjoy. The plant at about 23:25 is called a Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow (YT&T) bush. I am sure it has a very fancy scientific name, but that is the one I know it to go by. If you ever near a big one in full bloom, it smells like Heaven. I am sure the reason it is called the YT&T plant is because when the flowers first bloom they are a dark purple. And then after a few days the color fades to lilac and then to white.

We walked thru there in December when we were there and sat by the fireplace and I took pictures of the train and the pictures of Walt Disney and his trains. Enjoy your stay there.

Last year just before the shutdown I spent a week with the grandchildren and my daughter and son-in-law at Fort Wilderness. Everyone left for their flight home and I went to Wilderness Lodge, had lunch and enjoyed the beautiful grounds and lobby- the water sounds and the friendly staff soothed my sad soul from saying goodbye. Magical place! Thank you for bringing back good memories. 😍

We got randomly upgraded from a 1 bedroom to a 2 bedroom for our stay too! It was magnificent!

Wilderness Lodge is meant for those who aren’t quite the Camping type! 😉
That little staircase at top of lobby leads to the roof where flags are. Back in the day PC you could ask at check-in to be the Flag Family. For one morning of your say you could get up early and help the park ranger raise the flags.

I've thought of becoming a DVC member for some time now but was always hesitant. Thank you Ortiz family for letting Jackie Our super enthused have a stay at copper creek. All you guys may have just pushed me over the edge on becoming a DVC member..
It’s a lot to consider but the more I see what it’s all about, the more I realize the value is far greater than what it appears on paper.

I have been a DVC member since 1997 (OKW).
Note:
Home resort bookings start 11 months out.
Non-home resort bookings are 7 months out.
My one tip to you is to BUY AT THE HOME RESORT YOU LOVE!
With all of the DVC properties the ownership pool has gotten huge. Depending when you want to visit WDW and the type of accommodations you need, it might be difficult to book non-home resorts at the seven month window. Studios tend to go the quickest, as they use fewer points. Any room one bedroom or larger has a full kitchen, washer and dryer.
Our families favorite resort! My parents work for Disney so we always go over for random lunch and dinner trips!

Something to note is that the TOP FLOOR balconies have that solid railing. Which obstructs view if you're sitting out there, as shown in this video, . Some might like that, however one floor down it's open railing which I prefer. Very good tour and video.

I love you vlogs anyway, but this was special. We stayed at the wilderness lodge a few years back. Staying at a Disney resort is always special, but this one is still my favourite. It is a holiday within a holiday. Yes you can hit the parks, but the wilderness still feels like Disney, but is a vacation in its own right. Loved catching a boat to eat at the contemporary, Floridian or Polynesian, or to pootle over to the magic kingdom for an evening One of the best resort stays we have had 😄. Can’t help feeling sorry for the family who are not able to enjoy it this year. They are very generous and your fans are grateful for them asking you to share it with us all 👍

My 2 favorite things at Copper Creek are your “cozy lodge” aka my secret fireplace to enjoy after-dinner hot cocoa, and the burger at Geiser Point (best on property I’ve had yet). Great video!
Try the Portabello salad with steak.
All 1, 2 and 3 bedroom DVC Villas have the full kitchen , tub, washer/dryer. Being DVC, we’ve stay at several, but Cooper Creek is my favorite! You totally lucked out with the upgrade! What an awesome surprise! It’s happened to us before as well!
It was so cool experiencing that for the first time and learning about these rooms as I stay in more! The upgrade was so unexpected and awesome! Now I'll know if it happens next time!
@@SuperEnthused Next time you are there stop by the front desk and ask for the hidden Mickey hunt. It’s a list of clues where you can find them around the resort, including Boulder Ridge. When you are done, they give you a prize. I think you and your friend would have a blast!

I love the feel of like one could be camping there. The ceilings in the main lounge is quite pretty.
My dream stay... when we lived in the UK my son was about 8 or 9 went on line and ask requested information about this resort as he knew I wanted to stay there. It was very new then and we were so touched. Visited many times but never stayed. One day I hope! Great tour, thank you for sharing.

The food at Whispering Canyon looked amazing! I would order exactly what you had.
I visited the Carolwood Lounge when I was there and I felt in awe of seeing the train carriages that actually belonged to Walt. It was humbling and such an honour to see some of Walt’s personal possessions.

Hello, this brought back memories. We stayed at Wilderness Lodge Copper Creek , on the 5th floor on vacation on July 2020. The room looked like yours , and the bath tub you have to fill up before you turn on bubbles it is awesome, the shower is amazing too. The two balconies was awesome my sister and I had our own space, and the view is unbelievable, I miss it so much. It is so beautiful and all 3 food places is so delicious. Glad you got to stay at such a beautiful great Resort. I can't wait to see it again in person in 2022. Hope you enjoyed too. Be Safe Take Care.

My wife, kids, and I stayed here about 10 years ago for 4 nights. One of the days I had an emergency call from work, so I sat in that amazing lobby talking my team through a server rebuild. Best office location ever.

I wanna thank you so much for these tour-video’s! I’ve enjoyed them immensely! Seen all of your restort-stay video’s now :-) I’m from Denmark, and only as a full-grown 35 year old man did I give my self the childhood dream of a trip to Disney World (something I never got to experience as an actual child) Me and the girlfriend have been there twice now. First time was back in 2015 with a bunch of friends, where we stayed off property. Second time was in 2018, with only the girlfriend and me. This one was truly magical to Us, as we stayed at the Polynesien for 5 whole nights! :-) It’s hard to explain to people just how magical and incredible it feels/is to stay at a deluxe resort, like the Poly, with the monorail så easily picking up and dropping you off, right at your hotel and parks! There’s so many great plusses and perks of staying right in the heart of Disney World, where you’re immersed in the magic 24/7. Everything is just so easy, convenient and magical, when staying on property at a deluxe! Is it expensive? - Absolutely YES! But when actually being there, soaking it all in, only then do you get to slowly realize exactly WHY it’s something entirely else to stay on property, for days and nights, contrary to coming from the outside and just being there for one_day. A literal vacation-stay, right in the heart of it all, just can’t be beaten! So many amazing restaurants and bars (I’M IN ❤️ WITH TRADER-SAM’S & OHANA!) So many incredible things to explore, from one hotel to the next. Just being there, walking around on property, is incredible and magical. Once experienced as a vacation-stay, with the whole package, we simply could never go back to just visiting Magic Kingdom for one day. Actually staying there, on vacation, is the only true magical way to go - damn the cost! It’s sooo worth it! :-)
In 2 or 3 years we plan to go back, doing things even bigger and better! This time around, though, we’re bringing my brother, his wife and their two beautiful children, whom at that time will be old enough to actually realize where they are, and enjoy it in a way that a toddler, for instance, could never do. Heck, even I now appreciate having first visited Disney World as an adult, cause I was actually able to enjoy, and appreciate the entire experience, on a whole other level.. And I will ALWAYS be a kid at heart :-)
One thing I do know for sure, and that is that we won’t go back UNTILL the masks have been scrapped, and where people are allowed to be around each other again! Hand-sanitizing is one thing, that we should just continue on doing. But as long as masks and social distancing is in order, we won’t go back, cause it would absolutely RUIN the magic for Us! A trip like that is simply put too damn expensive, and having to wear masks, distancing our selves from other human beings, would only remind Us of the sad world-pandemic we’re currently in - which is the LAST_thing we want on our minds, when shelling out that much for a deluxe stay. Again, it would absolutely ruin such a vacation on every level, at least for Us :-( So fingers and toes crossed that in 2-3 years we’re back to a “new normal”, where masks and social distancing, at the very least, is behind Us!

That is a great resort, they used to do a scavenger hunt they would give you a paper and it took you all over the resort with clues, so much fun. Glad you got to stay in that wonderful room and another fantastic video!

You rock, that room was way too big for one person glad you enjoyed. I so enjoyed the smaller Boulder Ridge Lobby for the 1st time in Dec, of course the main WL lobby is amazing, but the quietness of this lobby, plus seeing the original train car, was just really special, I relaxed in that lil lobby in front of their smaller fireplace and listened to Christmas music for about an hour it was just so calming & peaceful ♥️

I’m super enthused you visited the train room! That’s my favorite spot. I bought a model Lily Belle engine and railroad tie from Walt’s backyard from the Carolwood Society back in 2000.
