Growing with grammar is good too! It's just 3 days per week

We have settled on Christian Light Education, and it has been wonderful. I know it’s not a lot of color, but my child is really enjoying it. I feel a weight lifted from my shoulders.

We are trying lots of new curriculum this year, I am right there with you! It is scary not to know what to expect each day when your so used to knowing your flow and routine. Hoping you guys find all the right fits for you this year.

I’m right there with you. Writing is the hardest subject to find that’s written in a way that’s simple, straightforward, easy to teach, has the right style, flow, and that’s effective. I don’t want something overpriced and overwhelming. I just need to be walked through step by step to teach my kid the fundamentals of writing.

We are trying this, too! Last year, we tried Essentials in Writing and while I thought it was effective, the first half of the year was grammar. Only the second part was actually writing. I already use Easy Grammar, so our year ended up being way too heavy on grammar without my son getting daily writing practice. When I think of how he excelled in reading and math….it shouldn’t be surprising because I have always made him practice those daily. He is a reluctant writer and really needs a straightforward daily practice approach to writing. We are enjoying it so far!
I know JacKris also has grammar and spelling.
I first learned about the company through Emily Cook, the curriculum developer of Build Your Library. I believe she used them for her kids. Sometimes more basic and straightforward is a better approach.
Thanks for the video! Best wishes with your year!
