The game we have all been waiting for, Dragon Ball Budokai Tenkaichi 4 is being released. In today's video we discuss the tournament of power and how many of those fighters should be in the game. Is this a sequel to Xenoverse 2 in the form of Xenoverse 3? Will this be better than Fighterz? Qaaman discusses all of this in this anime and manga related video today.

Roshi can fly, he intentionally doesn't because it's a Crane School technique and he's too butthurt at Shen to do it. So it makes sense that he could when possessed.

We saw Hercule in the trailer and we all know he can't fly. So for Master Roshi they may give him something unique like the Jetpack they gave to Hercule.

You have never needed to be able to fly to get a roster spot in the Sparking/BT series. Kid Goku spun his tail and Hercule had a jetpack, but most of the others who can't fly would just float and descend gradually. Didn't need an explanation.

I mean, if you're gonna have Paparoni and Aniraza, don't you kinda need Koicéareta? It's kinda the middle form that bridges the two characters. Also, I feel like Katopesla and Maji-Kayo could be fun additions to the roster, the former having a shapeshifting body with Luffy-like attacks, and the latter being pretty much a Tokusatsu superhero of the Metal Hero variety.
Doctor Popperoni could really work as like a similar character to Babidi in BT3. HIs specials summon other fighters from his universe
I think the namekians from U6 will be playable , because you will create fights where you can use piccolo or nail against them or even use frieza against one of these two namekians
I was kinda thinking that they each person on the U7 team needs at least ONE of their fights represented, so I think the U6 namekians would be necessary for Piccolo and Gohan's fights.
@@jantheking7028, yeah that's right! But also when you do player1 vs CPU or player 1 vs player 2 in battle mode , you can also do de namekians vs gohan and piccolo or the namekian vs goku and vegeta or vs cooler and nail or broly(dbs) and jiren for example.
I think out of all the characters for a TOP battle, universe 6 and 11 would be sick to play.

This is a pretty solid list of playable characters. Only thing I would really change tbh is I would put U6 namekians as playable because they had a pretty cool fight scene with piccolo and gohan. I also would put Maji Kayo as playable becauase he fought quite a few people in the tournament including Jiren. Generally, I think the characters who had more/longer on screen fight scenes have a really good chance of being playable.
I think the Universe 6 Namekian are gonna make it too simply because of the fact that people love Namekians and are asking for more Namekian representation for ages so I think they are gonna make it too.

How did you just just do Monna dirty like that? She was the strongest fighter from U4 and had an entire episode dedicated to her vs Cabba, plus she has a unique moveset and abilities. I'm guessing Qaaman skipped most of the ToP lmao

She's not really relevent, but then again, neither was devilman or Frieza soldier back in BT3. If those guys were relevent enough to be playable in BT3, I think Monna, the U6 namekians, and Maji Kayo will be added

@@QaamansLand well for my list I would put pilina and saonel because they have unique attacks such as energy swords(Yes I know vegito and zamasu can do this technique but seeing a namekian do it is really cool) Also I would put the invisible fighter and the small bug 🐜 in the game. I don’t really like these guys but having someone small and invisible could be unique. Lastly I would include the Male version of the Ribrianne squad. They created some sort of black hole against goku which could be interesting
The only problem with the U6 namekians is that they wouldnt have too many unique abilities. All of their abilities are pretty much identical to each other, why waste 2 character slots for basically the same character?

I disagree with Caway not being playable, legends has shown that she can have a unique skill set. Not only that but she is without a doubt the most popular character that people know from universe 4. Now I'm biased as she is my guilty pleasure character for a lot of reasons but if she doesn't make it in I won't be too upset.

I think the different “modes” of Katopesla’s costume is a perfect fit for a video game. I think he has a chance...
Viewing the Pride Troopers as a unit (outside of the usual 3 suspects), they're not as completely forgettable as you would think they'd be, Q. I believe all members could share a singular spot on Tenkaichi 4 roster if the Pride Captain, Kahersal, is playable. If they don't offer much individually, then each member can be embed into the Kahersal's playstyle as special assist attacks. We can call back to Ginyu in FighterZ. He was the one in Ginyu Force on the roster, but characteristics of his members provided an interesting dynamic that equipped him to handle opponents in various scenarios. During the TOP, we saw these scenarios play out as the Trooper coordinated special combinations of strategies and attacks to fight off Goku and company. Here are some examples. Hope these can shed more light:
COCOTTE:
Provided dimensional barriers to utilize for defense from physical and ki-based, as well as containment against Kale and Caulifla.
VUON:
Also offered a whip attack to immobilize adversaries, could be organized in combo attacks with the member, Kunshi, who utilizes electrical string attacks.
ZOIRAY & TUPPER:
Both possess plain abilities by DBZ standards. However, during TOP, both had orchestrated attacks that combined the tornadoes of Zoiray and Tupper's flaming wrecking ball ability.
KETTOL:
His short fight with Caulifla demonstrated his power to control psycho ki balls and surround the battlefield to zone his opponents. This ability was usable for use as a utility for detonation, which isn't too reminiscent of Piccolo's Hellzone Grenade against 17.

The bug that defeated Piccolo will make it in. He will be a very annoying prick with his nonexistent hit box.
One thing I want to add though is og Tenkaichi had characters like Frieza Soldier playable and other low tier forgettable characters. So maybe there are more characters you put under Who Cares that would actually make it.

I mostly agree with you but I would have as playable these ones too: Saonel, Pirina, Dr Rota, Damon and Katopesla.
I would also love to see these guys but I don't think we will: Murichim, Gamisaras, Kawai, Zarbuto, Nigrishi and the three robots combination.
Personally my only changes would be adding Caway and Katopesla since past gives have used them as reps of thier universe over others.

Almost every universe besides universes 7 & 6 had 3 main representatives. For ex universe 11 Jiren, Toppo, Dyspo. Universe 2 Ribrianne, Roasie, Kakunsa. Universe 9 Bergamo, Basil, Lavender. Universe 3 could just be Agnilasa🤷♂️. If they only included those it would make it feel close to the T.O.P
Never understood why Dr. Rota was part of U6 rather than the Yardratian…
As much as I like Dr Rota, yeah, he should have replaced the Yardratian in U2 team and Jimize should have been from U6. Zarbuto too, since he is a Tuffle in theory, maybe replacing one of the two Namekians.
I feel like the story mode section of the TOP is gonna focus on single fights like in the anime but may have occasional team fights, who knows, they may add a mode like Xenoverse 2 and have like 6 fighters on a team fighting at the same time. I’m fine either way they do it, I just hope the story mode is fun af like the old Tenkaichi games. I also don’t think every character from the TOP is gonna be playable which I don’t really mind, characters like the invisible fighter, we couldn’t even see him so it’d be hard to make a move set for him

I feel like you were pretty generous with most of these character's but again sparking zero is going to have at minimum 162 character's for it to be the historical roster bandai is selling us in the official website.
I would say that all of universe 7 would be in the game,toppo,jiren and dyspo for universe 11,caulifla,kale,kefla,Bota,maggeta,kaba,frost and Hit are also pretty much guarantee tbh (if only the other universes were as good as this one),then the TOP roster ends with Anilasa,Ribrianne,Rozie and Kakunsa as they are the last relevant character's that can be added to the game on my opinion.
How may Gods/Goddesses of Destruction characters do you think should be playable in the game?
I think non of them should be aside from Beerus, Whis and maybe Vados and Champa. We haven't seen enough of most of them for them to have a fully unique moveset or at least one too different from eachother. So I think if we include the GODs and Angels a lot of them are just gonna be "echo" fighters.
Of the gods trios I'd say only U6 and U7, with maybe U11.

i honestly wouldnt be surprised if they are all in tbh, 3 had genral blue, arale and devilman so it really wouldnt shock me, the promised the biggest roster ever so i feel like they have to include everyone they can to accomplish that haha, honestly though, i mostly want goku black and the gods of destruction, i know we havent seen most of em do anything but they are all cool and i wouldnt be against them just modifying beerus move set

I really exited to see Toppo in this game, he is such an amazing character. The only things I don't like about him is how got to defeated so easily by Vegeta and that his English dub name is Top. Not even One Piece could make that name work.

I think ppl not wanting to play as the characters as they were irrelevant isnt a great point the whole point of tenkaichi is how you can play as obscure characters that you wouldnt be able to in most games like chiaotzu, general tao, or even pilaf in a pilaf machine.
It’s 5 years in development so of course half of the tp characters will make it in DbSZ

I'm actually pretty sure Sorrel is getting in. People love her design enough that they basically made a GoD version of her design for Heroes.
i already see the game having 80+ characters easily at launch (since the game counts forms as characters) 70 are pretty much guaranteed

Understimating the power of memes, aren't we.
The more of these characters we get, the less actually relevant ones from OG, Z and GT we get, so hopefully they stick with the main ones (U6 saiyans, Jiren, Dyspo, Toppo etc)
After watching your video, here's my own in-depth thoughts on the matter.
As a veteran of BT3, the developers can make movesets for characters that barely were shown to fight at all in the series, but it required a lot of generic attacks. In BT3 the super High Speed Rush and the super Full Powered Energy Wave were thrown around a lot for characters who didn't have that many techniques seen in the series. (ex. Saibaman) So in theory basically all ToP fighters could be possible even though a fair amount were never even shown to fight at all, and another fair amount only ever showed generic punches, kicks, and ki blasts. The only two characters that I think just plain won't work is Damom (the insect from Universe 4) and Gamisalas (the invisible guy also from Universe 4), I'm not sure how they could make those two characters work in the game.
For selecting characters, there are two things I value. 1. Story relevance. 2. Unique techniques, so we don't need to have much in the way of filler supers and ultimates for them.
Now, to go down the list, let's start with the major three universes.
Universe 7: All members of this team will be on the roster. It will be the *only* team with all its members on the roster.
Universe 6: Cabba, Kale, Caulifla, Kefla, Hit, and Frost are pretty much guaranteed. Botamo and Magnetta also have pretty good chances to join the roster. The U6 Namekians could go either way. I am completely confident that Dr. Rota will *not* be playable. He'll show up in a cutscene to recreate the joke of him getting interrupted/defeated while he's introducing himself, but he won't be playable.
Universe 11: Jiren, Toppo, Dyspo, and Kahseral. For Kahseral, I mention him because he's been added to the mobile games, Legends and Dokkan Battle. Now, a character getting into the mobile games isn't always a great sign of their Sparking chances, Dokkan in particular has lots of meme picks like the Para Para Brothers. Still, he got into those games, and compared to the other lesser Pride Troopers he does have a fair amount of definable techniques. I'd call him the one Pride Trooper aside from the big three who has a shot at joining the roster.
Universe 2: Ribrianne, Rozie, and Kakunsa. This is an easy one, divisive character though Ribrianne, she's the only character not from U7, U6, and U11 who has a good chance of joining the roster of any DB game that is covering the ToP. The other two magical girls also had a decent amount of presence (even if Kakunsa got eliminated pretty shortly after her tranformation) and enough definable techniques to have respectable movesets.
Universe 3: Agnilasa, Catopesra, and *maybe* Maji-Kayo. Agnilasa would be an obvious pick if we're still doing playable giant characters. (However, the characters who fuse to create Agnilasa, the scientist and the three robots, I expect to *not* be playable.) Catopesra showed up quite a bit in the ToP and was a generally enjoyable comic relief character, he didn't show too many techniques but he did have 'modes' that could make him unique as a stance change character in the game. Maji-Kayo ultimately just existed as a few to flex Jiren's strength before he properly fought the main characters, but he showed enough unique abilities with his liquid body that he could work.
Universe 4: Ganos, Caway, and Monna. Ganos was the team leader, was a jobber fighter with an actual transformation, and had a few distinctive fight moves with his electric powers. Caway I mention for mostly the same reason I mentioned Kahseral with U11, she got into the mobile games. Plus, Caway's thing for fashioning her ki into weapons (she demonstrated boomerangs, a spear, and a giant hammer) means she wouldn't need to have a moveset padded out with filler techniques. Monna, while having some unique movesets with her ball body and whatnot, I list primarily for a narrative reason, as she's the opponent who pushed Cabba into achieving SS2.
Universe 9: Basil, Lavender, Bergamo. This is a super easy one. Not only are they the main U9 fighters, but putting all three of them into the game would allow us to not only use them for the ToP story, but will also let the story cover the Zeno Exhibition before the ToP. Also, if giant characters are still playable then Bergamo's transformation makes for a good giant character.
Universe 10: Obni. Just Obni. U10 were probably the most forgettable universe in terms of fighting style and Obni is the only one that stands out. Bonus points for being the final U10 fighter, having at least one distinctive technique he employed against Gohan, and the sideplot of him fighting for his family in his universe.
Explain Master Roshi then. Specifically whether he will fly as possessed Roshi or not.
@@QaamansLand Every character in the game will fly, just as they could in BT3. The only thing to note is that Roshi (regular or possessed) will probably handle flying the same way og DB characters handled flying in BT3.
Essentially, og DB characters in that game could fly, but with the extra issue that rather then hang in the air they'd slowly float down. You needed to equip them with a certain item to make them fly like Z era and later characters could.

No one is talking about the issue of how many characters will be at once on screen. Sparking zero will be a 1vs 1 game? Cause that doesn't match with tournament of power very much...
I think the doctor will be playable, he will spawn the robots in his supers, and Anilaza will be his awoken.

at least that what im thinkin or a npc because Monna pushed cabba to go super saiyan and no way they going to add Super Saiyan 2 and I think she can a funny character to use against troll or be skill enough just to piss people off I mean they added like weak dragon ball characters so why not her
One character I'd like to play from the ToP is Ganos from Universe 4. He's the one that became a bird humanoid fighter against Roshi, I always thought his technique and design was cool.

Again why do people assume manga content would be in the game if there’s no animation to base abilities on, Beast Gohan and Orange Piccolo are the only two who would be in the game because they have been adapted in the DBS Movie

The Yardratian and the doctor didn't really do much so how do you make a moveset of them, same with the blindguy, he had one fight and it didn't give him much of a moveset and honestly, I don't see Botamo being playable before despite his relevancy, he's just a wall. He never went on the offensive at all, I mean come on, Goku just dragged his ass put of the ring in the universe 6 tournament.

Characters who were in both the U6 tournament AND the Tournaemnt of Power SUPER likely to make it, so botomo very well could.
