@@uh-ohstinky3581 Dorian is considered a minor mode because of the minor 3rd (so you can play minor pentatonic), but it still has a major 6th and that's what makes all the difference (you can not play the minor 6th during the verse). It becomes a completely different key, which in this case is B Major (while it's C# Minor/E Major in the chorus).
