    I get awful spasms and pain in my hips from being stuck in my chair all day. I've just tried this stretch for the first time and it'll be part of my daily routine from now on! Thank you! :)

    This is great , i have been getting so much lower back pain from being in a wheelchair all the time ,i tried all the exersises that are available for able-bodies people and nothing seems to work but this exersise is exactly what i need

    Thank you so so much for posting this, I currently work with a client / dear friend who has multiple extreme complications so finding stretches that he is able to do can be complicated but this sitting on the side of the bed and stretching to elongate the hip flexors, this will be life-changing for him I can assure you that. I see him in a few hours and I'm trying to incorporate some new stretches so thank you so much for taking the time and doing this video, greatly appreciated!!

    Definitely a helpful video. My son has muscular dystrophy & he tends to get tight along if he doesn't stretch

    That’s a great stretch. I just need to be consistent with it. Especially in the mornings. That’s when I’m stiff as a board.

    You can do this in a power wheelchair by just reclining the backrest all the way back and keeping the seat flat. 👍🏼

      @@LifeByIan I used to recline regularly for 10 minutes but now I just recline if I take a nap. Haha

    My only concern would be falling out of the bed. How can I stop this from happening?

      You can have someone for assistance but generally I find it's okay as long as the bum is on the bed

    Thank you for great tips in this video! Can you please share which cushion from pressure sores you are using? My cousin is on wheelchair and she has sores problem coming back from time to time and we really want to prevent a new one.🙏🏻

    Super late to this video Ben, but does this stretch do the same thing as the one you've shown where you lie on your belly and prop yourself up on your elbows?

    I also get a really stiff upper back I don't know if it's anxiety or tension but it gets completely stiff any stretching you recommend

    Bro i'm a c five c six Quad but i don't have that much force in my hands to get myself off the bed like you do Any upper body workout your recommended or is it too late i've been like this for 10 years but i want to use A Manual chair
