HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 3 авг 2020
- This video will show you how to config Dynamic DNS(#DDNS) on #TrueNAS with #ClouDNS for #Nextcloud remote access. Although this tutorial is for TrueNAS, it also works on FreeNAS 11.3 and as well as the older versions.

You're damn right that you deliver ! People like you are what makes RUclips one of the best places on the internet.
Great! I have been following your videos and they have been very helpful. Can't wait for your next video so I can conclude my nextcloud setup/
THANK YOU! This is the one tutorial that actually worked!
Glad it helped!
You saved me from the hell I was going through on other domain providers who have features like this that dont work.
U post great videos. Thank you
thanks..its much more simple than using reverse proxy.
Thanks man, which port should I use on the port forwarding if I choose NAT when creating the Jail? the same one nexcloud uses for management?
nice one
great jobs!! But i need for ipv6 transix
anyone know where to find the wget command if using no-ip ddns instead of cloudns?
my internet company doesn't allow for me to input my own IP addresses in port forwarding. you must select from a list of connected devices. I only see my freenas here do I just port forward that? how do i find my nextclouds IP address? is it in the plugin section?
My isp blocking port forwarding, how do i set it up now?
Congratulations on your channel, one of the best, if not the best I've seen. I have a doubt, I have followed all the steps, except the one to open the port 80, since my internet provider does not allow me to do it, it is the port they use to have remote access to my router. I have used DuckDns and it works perfect, but when I connect the wifi or try to access from my local network, it does not connect to nextcloud. could you tell me why? thank you very much and best regards.
You can forward to a different port for external port and forward that to 80/443 locally. For example, the external port can be 10443 -> 443.
Just when you login you need to add the port number to the end of the URL mynextcloud.com:10443
@@sysadmin102 ok, I will try it. thank you very much.
@@sysadmin102 Sorry, where do I configure that? Truenas, router, nextcloud. sorry, but I'm just starting in this world and I'm still a bit lost. Thanks and sorry for the inconvenience.
@@raulgomez8523 your router. You can find a tutorial on RUclips
@@sysadmin102 thanks
Before I get started... any differneces between these instructions for TrueNas Scale?
Dynamic DDNS should be the same
This is great but isnt there a way to do this without paying for a DNS thing?
Nếu sử dụng ddns từ google domain thì như thế nào ạ rất mong được giải đáp.
I am getting the "Access through untrusted domain" when using my domain. Works fine if I log in locally. Any ideas on how to fix it?
You obviously didn't follow the instruction. I show you how to add the trusted domains in the video and in the text file.

Yup, I rewatched it and It’s working now. Thanks for the videos. Have a good day.
How is this remote connection secured?
My ISP block port 80 , which port should I forward then ? thank you
@@sysadmin102 thank you sir
I get an ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT when I try to connect
Is there a possibility to do that without changing back to IPv4? Would love to find a way for that.
I’m not sure what you mean by “changing back to IPv4”?
thank's for this video when I follow the tutorial to the letter I think, it directs me to my truenas and not to nextcloud, do you know why what is my error
@@sysadmin102 thank's i'm going to check
@@ghostcos7604 happened same to me, what i have to do?
@@Llyonard Hi did you figure it out?
For me, it did not work. I copy the cron job and paste it into the cron job, run it, but my ip still reamains 192.168.100.1 (default). What can be the reason taht my IP remain unchanged?
I was able to solve my problem. If you do not setup e-mail address at the root user, and do not verify it via smtp or google auth, the corn jobs will not executed.
The background: CRON jobs checks the e-mail address of the user to know where to send the e-mail about the job result if necessary.
If you run the job silently and in background, it will not send an e-mail about the result, but the e-mail check itself will happen. If no e-mail found, the job won't start. If e-mail can be found at user (user: root in this case) the job will run. Make sure to do not forget to setup the Gmail Oauth or SMTP under SYSTEM -> EMAIL too.
Hope it helps!
@@kpeti515 I did what you said but still the ip address does not change :(
please show us how to reinstal nextcloud, my server jail is broken now I need to reinstall without losing data, thank you
we can still get your ip by using nslookup.
sound is alittle funky
How can I watch plex remotely to my Freenas ?
hi, followed the tutorial but it opens the truenas page, what can i do?
Make sure your port forwarding is pointed to TruesNAS
I get an error saying site is curranty unreachable. wget works and changes my ip to the public one. I've got port forwards set up so I don't understand what is going on
Is your Nextcloud jail used NAT?
Yes@@sysadmin102
I’m going through same issue, did you ever find solution?
anyone know how to run a cron job on truenas scale?
Go to settings-advanced and it's on the bottom right
@@MightyCazador thank you!
Is there a new method to do this?
Not new, but you can set up VPN server with pfsense or OPNSense and remotely access your server.
Use dark mode dude. Less strain on the eyes
