Very cool, Les. Don't think I had notice a Vac before! Good selection of Avantis, TPEs and DMUs, too... along with the perfunctory freight! Cheers, Les!
I wonder where that group of ladies with the rolling luggage was headed - a W.I. conference perhaps? In recent videos you have shown us the RHTT unit heading off down the Maryport line, but only to Whitehaven. Is the route south of there a different diagram? The SRPS coaches were a welcome relief from the uniformly dull WCRC maroon. I always did like that carmine and cream livery. I presume they will eventually sport the BR decals once again. Is it my imagination or do the coaches of that 807 appear less closely coupled than earlier rolling stock?
The sound a class 37 makes is similar to a stationery oil engine, the motor seems to have only two speeds, idle and flat out. Nothing in between. As if on notching up the motor revs to the required speed then drops to idle until the load goes up or it slows. A very simple regulator system.
@@LeslieGilpinRailways in my early days on the railway it took a while to get my head around what out of gauge (OOG) actually meant . Obviously if something was higher or wider than the normal loading gauge then being classed as OOG was quite understandable but it also applied to anything that was abnormal such as a train conveying stock on which brakes were inoperable and so on.
Seems the Avanti Did Testing in the Early hours as worked as York - Doncaster. Doncaster - York York - Doncaster then Doncaster to Wembley Via the Edinburgh & the Wcml
@@LeslieGilpinRailwaysMe too I unfortunately missed this move & at 10:18 that would have made a good video thumbnail too although can't beat a class 37
Hurray, a Class 37 with the Scottie dog decal, these are now a very rare sight.
Thanks for another great selection from Carlisle Citadel.😊👍💗

Probably a wives trip away for some excuse. I;m not sure if RHTTs run north of BArrow. That Crimson and cream is smart
Brilliant video Leslie Gilpin Railways

Apparently something some drivers can't get the hang of. Apparently some Northern drivers had trouble when 37s were running on passenger services
Excellent stuff once again Les. Presumably it was due to conveying the railvac that it was a class 6X ?
That was my thought - something really heavy

Was 68033 heading for a Wash and Brush Up prior to a Rememberance Service?
It certainly needed a clean. I was suprosed to see it being used on the RHTT
Is anything good coming today at carlisle
I was away but believe not
Central door locking will be fitted to the vehicles at Bo'ness
Thanks. I thought as much. They did look really smart
