@@fghjkl48 Well I tried same with my mimic tear and Placidux instantly charges vs me because im the one doing the big damage, so his aggro changes. So if IA wants to attack you there, it will do it.
@@jolly5886 I could be wrong because I can't easily go back into this fight to test it but I believe it's a matter of timing in this case as I had this setup working pretty consistently. My strat was to run at him until right after his first lightning strike missed me and then charge up comet so that it starts dealing damage right after he targets oleg. I think that the second attack where he does a prolonged roar with 3 targeted lightning strikes can't switch target mid cast so as long as it was targeting the summon at the start of the attack i have that entire window to deal damage.
@@fghjkl48 Im not sure but I think he can change the target. Not when the light is under your feets, but he does like three big lightings and as soon of one ends the others can be delivered to a different target. @@jolly5886 you could try to let your summon get a bit more damage in while you position yourself. And once you’re sure all of his attention is on him try going for it. Also from what I remember you can just run past his initial lightnings
Comet azur never really worked full. He always moved when his health was like 20 % and came straight from top of me [ never hit me ] Took me 4-5 tries but then as soon as he come near me, i night cometed him lol. I come to your aid: Set: Azur's glintstone set, boosts Comet azur spell damage, need to finish sellen's questline for that. Spell: gained from Azur on mount gelmir, you need to go left from fort Laeidd to find him. Staff: Lusat's glintstone staff, boosts all sorceries. Found in selia hideaway while doing Sellen's questline. Weapon: Commander's standard, drops from commander O'neli in Aeonia. Shield: Jellyfish shield, found north from four belfries in liurnia. Crystal tear: MAGIC-SHROUDING CRACKED TEAR, found in liurnia. Crystal tear: CERULEAN HIDDEN TEAR, found on mount gelmir, outside volcano manor. Enjoy.
I don't think theres anything wrong with these kind of builds as long as you experience the game properly first and beat the game actually interacting with mechanics before you do cheese shit like this.
I am sure he got killed quite a few times attempting this exact strategy. Not that getting killed legitimizes it, it doesn't need legitimizing, but it's not cheese. It requires a bunch of prep and he can still easily die.
The luck of that lightning not hitting was impressive
It’s not luck. I summon Oleg so that he draws aggro and gets targeted by the lightning strikes.

clearly your comet azur missed and oleg's footsteps were so powerful that they were doing 1k damage for each step.
everyone wants to say its OP but you need to scour most of the map for everything you need to make it work

If it's op then the game will nerf it for now let us have our fun

They probably already beat the game and struggled hard before, so why not just have some fun and smack every boss to pay them back?

Cheesing bosses is fun, too. There is no good or bad way to play Elden Ring.
