I've been wanting to brush up my sketching skills for a while and I made it my new years resolution. Your website and videos have been of amazing help. Thank you!
Hello, first of all i appreciate the sketches you have done.I'm newbie on sketching.I saw tablet drawing apps and i bought an ipad pro 9.7.Do you suggest A4 paper or Ipad sketching for me or should i try both and pick the best?
Hello Berk, I would always recommend paper. Ipad is a technology that might not last forever. It's always great to take good habits from paper, so you can go on any graphic tablet of your choice. Build your sketching skills with a traditional pen, so you will never be dependent of any technology. Meanwhile, you can start sketching on tablet anytime. Hope it helps! Cheers, Chou-Tac
Hey! Nice video! I wonder if you do rotate your canvas to suit your arm's movement? Or are you used to drawing straight lines without reorienting your canvas? The videos don't show the rotation of the screen :/
Hello Gram. Yes I do. Not the one on the software though, but the Wacom tablet itself. So I feel like drawing more like on paper. Let me share with you my secret eheheh. I talk about how I "hack" my Wacom 13" tablet to do so on the blog here: www.thedesignsketchbook.com/?op_live_search_style=1&op_live_search_all_pages=Y&op_live_search_product=&op_live_search_category=&op_live_search_subcategory=&s=wacom+felt This is why I recommend the Cintiq 13", 21" or 22" - but not the 24 which you can't rotate the screen.
Thank you !
Happy it helps !
