Funny how the sudden large increase of lightning strikes around the world all happened to coincide with the nexrad Locations. Over 50,000 lightning bolts in the last 24 hours were all in proximity of a Nexrad station. Coincidence?

It worked out very well for the Allies. The British used a crude form of radar to detect and track incoming Axis aircraft during the Battle of Britain. The increased lead time enabled Allied fighter pilots to get into the skies and better protect the country.
