This wonderful arrangement by my teacher @yatesguitar has always been one of my favorite pieces to play. I’m so happy to be able to have it on my upcoming album LORCA.

I really admire how calm and relaxed and patient you are with your playing. I've been playing on my acoustic more but more like trying to think up lead electric improvs on it. I did go to a club last month after many years and the drummer (good friend of mine who is actually a multi-instrumentalist) and I are going to write music so something good did come of it. I guess we'll see how it goes. I wish you much success in all of your future projects as well.

@@AlanMearns-YesTheRaven Oh yes I always enjoy it. Not sure how it sounds (right now) to others ;-) but yep I enjoy playing. So far just in my room. However I would say that some of the best rock songs (to me anyway) have been composed originally on either acoustic guitar or piano. Just something about that sound to me. For what it's worth.

That is absolutely stunning! I love this arrangement. All that cross string work and the lovely dissonance that resolves. Excellent use of dynamics and the ponticello/dolce contrasts. I need to listen to this another dozen times.

Hi Alan, just curious, what kind of strings do you use? I am guess some kind of carbon string because it sounds quite bright and pure, but not entirely sure. Thanks!

@@AlanMearns-YesTheRaven that's quite specific! I didn't expect the 1 string to be nylon, then I guess the brightness is mostly from the guitar itself. Interesting choice to use polished bass for 4 and 5 for ease of recording but keep regular bass 6 for deep fundamentals. I need to try that myself. Thank you!
