I used to play as tank, at T6 when survival mode came out, managed to make it to round 4 as a CR 105 Earth Tank. Lied a lot about CR and skillpoints till they made that public information. Skillpoint grinding was NOT FUN.
"Tank must start the battle." Me, getting left behind, unable to enter the boss fight smiling as my entire team dies from not having their tank in the battle. Wait up, guys, not everyone is running speed and flight.........
A troller can start if they are good and the healers know what they are doing. It also depends on the enemy/s. The issue is that there are rarely healers. Everyone always wants someone to blame but 90% of the time you fail because the group is either not compatible or you are playing content too early and need to go get stronger.
Nice, I played DCUO when it first released. I played an Ice Tank and was one of the best, but after 4 years I got bored and started playing ESO. I tried to come back, but the EU servers were almost empty. Furthermore, I would love to come back and become legendary again. I've already noticed that a lot of things have changed, so how do I go best about starting to play again?

Not a big fan of clarion for tank. But Dilustel, like I said in the video, I use it for Rage, but you can definitely use it for Ice. However, I would replace Mystic for Dilustel because Mystic is most effective during adds phase only. Dilustel and Everyman works for both. Adds and single boss.
So as a fire tank, I shouldn’t have all 4 arguments dominance and should focus on Restoration? Because at the moment I have all my augments dominance and even my generators. If that’s the case that sucks because I watched a Obsidian chills video and he said dominance for augments and ice nearly maxed out all of that
REAL TALK: 1) I know there are few more things which can be added to the list, but these are the TOP 10 things which in my opinion are the most important. Feel free to add more in the comment section below =) 2) I didn't mention Kiting in the list, but it is very much needed when tanking in Survival Mode or some Elite bosses. It takes practice, so kite tank when you have absolutely mastered other things. 3) Do listen to #10 point carefully. 4) Always keep one eye on the minimap, you don't want adds or any type of enemies hitting the group, make sure you pull everything RED as soon as possible. Pull first then hit your chrono once everything is pulled into a nice tight group. There is very instances(actually i can’t think of any really) where you would chrono first then pull

John Constantine in House of Legends has the artifacts. Some of the artifacts will only be available to you if you complete certain missions. But just google the artifact name and it will show you how and where to get it.
Bro you say its easy to see when the little light indicators flash for counters etc. but when i am in a raid there is so much shit on screen from everyones powers going off i can barely see the damn boss at all. I feel like i will never be able to do this effectively…
Trust me, you will bro. Once you have gotten used to how different bosses act, you won't even need to see the indicators flashes. Just keep practicing. Don't give up. Tanking is realllly fun and kinda like boss mode when you get it right. 🙌

It's a stress fest 😂 I used to have anxiety sweats when I was my league's main tank in all elite content and survival mode. So I switched to troller as my main support role. Life is much more calm now lmao. But I have few friends who loveeeee tanking and they are brilliant tanks. So try it out, see how it goes, if it isn't for you, just wait for double artifact xp event, and switch your tanking artifacts to other role you prefer. 😁
You can craft them via RnD stations. You need to collect the Chrono emmitters plan before you can do that. They usually drop from lootboxes or you can buy them from broker.
I stopped at number 4, will watch the rest of the video later...for number 1 counters, you need dom, without dom, you can't counter anything so I think that should have been number 1 and for number 4, your first alley to max out should NOT be superman but lex luthor for the defense increase if you drop below 50%, you first thought as a tank is how do I survive big hits not giving a shield to my team, your tea should be far away from the danger and be blocking on red skull attacks and boss lunges
1. Dom has nothing to do with counters. I can counter the boss in NUE+ as a level 4, fresh off the ship. It's a basic game mechanic you learn when you make the character. 2. Understandable. But for me (tanking since 2013), Allies are just an extra incentives, they really don't make much difference, you can tank anything, any raid without allies and even 120 arts if you know what you are doing. 😊👍🏻

For testing out counters, I actually do wanna test it, but I don't think there is any content in open world, which will not scale me up because of stat clamp etc. Or I can go in Dps role, take off gear, and test out the counters? There you go mate. Not easy to survive without gear lol But as you can see with gear I had 5k+ dominance in FP content, took off the gear and dominance went down to 120 something. Managed to get three counters, started with block break as you asked, then interrupted the lunge and then again block break on Huntress. Also, as a tank in FP content, I have 42k dominance. @@alioh9 yeah, at lvl 200 when your hp hit 0. You will enter rage of lazarus where you are immortal for 12secs(5mins cooldown i think?). Then if you get full hp you're good to go. After that there's a second effect wherein if you hit 0 hp again you can revive yourself (3mins cooldown).

Funny...in other games tanks can still sponge but not in DCUO. So truthfully...its more difficult to battle tank in DCUO but a veteran can do it. If you use advanced pressing and art swapping than even better. Me I don't use advanced play because its alot harder on a console. But yeah, for example...I use to tank with healers in L2 and DPS with tanks in WOW. Different games and different times but still...I am old lol.
As a Tank player if the team runs on a head, attack and die it on them it's on them. Also I never got burnt out on Tanking and I've been playing from year one.

Earth is also super easy if you use Brick. I like it because I’m not simultaneously thinking about a power rotation and also keeping an eye on the boss and the adds. Just keep Brick alive, use gemstone shield when it’s off cool down, and pull adds when they pop up and you’re golden

Battle tanking is where you still tank the adds and bosses but do almost same damage as a DPS because of your spec. You sacrifice survivability over extra damage, that's why it's only recommended for experienced players.

I am here to piss off the elitist and purists in this game. I battle tank. The argument that makes it viable is that if you are a veteran of this game you already know that you can do group content fine with a battle tank if you stop trying to speed run content. At the start of playing the game years ago I myself was specced and set up to meta. The issue is that to keep up with everything it got too tedious and the armory hassles drive you crazy. Especially when you start building more than 2 armories. Also people still bitch and complain regardless because even if I did follow some of the meta...I don't follow meta rotations because I am not going to go try hard. I have carpal tunnel so some of the clipping and constant advanced pressing hurts me after awhile. I stopped caring about the BS and played the way I wanted to. Its not a job or a serious career...its a damn game you are suppose to have fun on. I rarely play instanced content because of the toxic behavior people bring into the elitist mind set. Also...those of us that enjoy tanking may not have the amounts of time or money to put into the build YOU want us to have. Being a battle tank allows people to do the bare minimum and still play all the content. I don't enjoy being told not to play in a raid if I battle tank sir...I will do it more often than DPS now! EDIT: I have come to learn that many people that complain about hybridized roles are PC purists, many of them are (not all) RUclipsrs. Many of us that play these classes this way are on console...we don't have access to keybinds and macros. You can not assume everyone is willing to go try hard to make things easier on you...if you are so elite than you should have no reason to complain. You should have the ability to carry people and know how to read the battles...this is suppose to be a flex I thought? Its DCUO...regardless of how you play you will still get 1 shot at some point and you will find someone better than you at some point.

Not all powersets will have a use for the group breakout (required on the LO for Superman to even do anything). Also battle tanking, while yes I see too many try to do it waay too early, is viable when one has the sp to support such a build, just need to know the limitations that come with that

100% everyman prototype. Lazarus is just self-revive, it brings nothing special to the table, doesn't give you anything as a tank.
Doesnt laz pit give immortality for a few seconds now.

Most easiest would be Ice. Most difficult would be Rage but once you have mastered Rage, its unbeatable. You will be like Healer who? 😂

this is helpful, but damn do u talk way too fast and go over important key stuff too quickly. the tell lines for countering and the tank stat point parts u were almost saying 2 words at a time... quite impressive tbh

Wow lmao. Restoration for extra heal. 🤣 Sorry about talking fast, it's just if I talk slow, video becomes way too long and gets boring. But you can turn on CC to get rough idea what I am talking about and you can control playback speed from each video's menu. But again, my apologies 🙏🏼

I am here to piss off the elitist and purists in this game. I battle tank. The argument that makes it viable is that if you are a veteran of this game you already know that you can do group content fine with a battle tank if you stop trying to speed run content. At the start of playing the game years ago I myself was specced and set up to meta. The issue is that to keep up with everything it got too tedious and the armory hassles drive you crazy. Especially when you start building more than 2 armories. Also people still bitch and complain regardless because even if I did follow some of the meta...I don't follow meta rotations because I am not going to go try hard. I have carpal tunnel so some of the clipping and constant advanced pressing hurts me after awhile. I stopped caring about the BS and played the way I wanted to. Its not a job or a serious career...its a damn game you are suppose to have fun on.
I rarely play instanced content because of the toxic behavior people bring into the elitist mind set. Also...those of us that enjoy tanking may not have the amounts of time or money to put into the build YOU want us to have. Being a battle tank allows people to do the bare minimum and still play all the content.
I don't enjoy being told not to play in a raid if I battle tank sir...I will do it more often than DPS now!
EDIT: I have come to learn that many people that complain about hybridized roles are PC purists, many of them are (not all) RUclipsrs. Many of us that play these classes this way are on console...we don't have access to keybinds and macros. You can not assume everyone is willing to go try hard to make things easier on you...if you are so elite than you should have no reason to complain. You should have the ability to carry people and know how to read the battles...this is suppose to be a flex I thought?
Its DCUO...regardless of how you play you will still get 1 shot at some point and you will find someone better than you at some point.

Problem is...I am old lol. I have no idea what twse + even means! Tell me the actual name than sure maybe? The only instanced content I play is seasonals so I am not aware of most of the advanced mechanics in raids or alerts.

All I provided was a few clarifications to help ppl watching this to better help them, especially when you put out bad info like the 6 secs for aggro doesn't work that way. It literally HAS to be 8 sec til you can refresh aggro. Superman a must? Nah, Lex is the must for tanks. Not all powersets will have a use for the group breakout (required on the LO for Superman to even do anything). Also battle tanking, while yes I see too many try to do it waay too early, is viable when one has the sp to support such a build, just need to know the limitations that come with that

The aggro refreshing is 8-12 second but I say 6 because people forget and starts focusing on turtle tanking instead. Also @8:30 I already mentioned that in on-screen text. Superman and Lex can depend on your playstyle. I wouldn't disagree with you on that. Thanks for watching the video and calling the info bad.

Lol like a hybrid build. Requires quite a bit of skill points and fairly high artifacts to do it properly.
