Finding out if one star has something man made around it is not going to answer if we are alone lmfao, which we factually are not, it’s almost inconceivable, even by the majority of the most skeptical theories out there.
Maybe check the pattern and time frame in which the light dips. Check the pattern after a year and see if it can be decoded as a message. You never know.

Yes, the star is far away but JWST can still take a look. A proposal has been written by researchers and time has been allocated to them to use JWST.
