We plan to increase the bore to run a 90mm piston, running our R1 cylinder head, which would land capacity at around 3.0L. In future there is plans to produce a tall deck option to increase the capacity to 3.2L but if the results are as we're expecting the 3.0L variant of the current block may be all people will need
@@Platinumracingproducts Talking about cylinder heads, I think it would be cool to show the differences between different heads in a video format, like you did with the different rb blocks. when the R1 and R0 heads come to fruition.
Can you guys bring my idea to completion? I worked for a company that made billet accessory drive kits for small block and big block marine applications. I was an import guy in a shop full of American v8 old timers. My boss let me use company time and company computers to use solid works to design a 2jz to rb awd drive billet oil pan so you can bolt up an rb front diff to a jz. Mind you i did a fair amount of convincing that if we were able to produce it that we would potentially break into a new type of market for them and make the time worth it. I did all the measurements and refined the design to the point of our production prototype was around the corner to being machined. Our machines weren't large enough to handle the job and we wouldve needed to outsource that and then it turned into a project cancelation and me not being able to access all my hard work anymore. Various issues around that and managing differences had me bitter so i ended up leaving their company... Long story short, can you kick around the idea to your team to see if getting to a production version would be worth your time? An all in one billet 2jz to awd rb block girdle/oil pan (whether dry or wet sump or both) i know the idea of it without a physical product yet had just about everyone i talked to potential investors too excited for it to come to life. That was nearly 3 yrs ago and i feel like im letting alot of people down by not pursuing the idea out of my own pocket now. At this point i don't want any credit i just want to see everyone thats interested to get a product they dont realize theyre missing yet.... Sorry for the lengthy read but i know if anyone had the ability to make this happen its you guys. You guys are constantly creating the new best everything for the real enthusiasts market. I cant wait to get myself one of the blocks you're working so hard on. Hoping you guys nail the final steps before production and can start pumping them out.
@Platinumracingproducts can't wait to see what all you guys evolve into over the next 5-10yrs. You're certainly at the top of the game in my eyes with being able to fill market voids with absolutely incredible products. Keep it up, I'm hoping you guys can keep growing into the role of being everyone's go to for reliable, great products🤙
The provisions are there for VCT yes but will not be an option initially. Once the blocks have been released it will become an option available when purchasing

Question from Steves Ultimate Car Shed PTY LTD West Australia. Knowing the amount of monetary investment into research and development re metal urgy etc. I will safely assum the first nominated number of blocks will indeed be high in price, until safely able to reduce cost after recouping initial large investment. Or in the alternative spread investment cost over a given number of years to maintain ability for many to afford purchasing of these well thought out and executed cast blocks! Which assumed example applies? Former or latter assumption? Thank you in advance for considering my buisness model canundrum related to financial pathway to future sales.🙂
Good question and thanks for asking Steve. Currently there is no plan to raise or lower the pricing. Given the OEM Heritage blocks are basically non existent now, if they are around, they aren't honestly a lot cheaper than our blocks. As you said, given the R&D that has been put into our blocks and addressing any inherent issues the OEM blocks have, you can be sure that your money is being well spent on our new cast blocks and heads.

Make it a inline 10 with some monster custom crank, imagine the noise! 😅
Will there be options for provisions to accommodate NEO/VCT oil galleries? Or no point running VCT at the power these blocks are expected to handle?

Will a tall deck option be made for those of us that have RB30 blocks already? also are these being cast in aussie?

@@Platinumracingproducts thanks for the reply. Good luck with the blocks, can't wait to see them used in anger.
Would we still need to run a rear oil drain?
Cast aluminum blocks!
Please make this into a prototype 2cyl!!!! With a cut off head of course.
rb10
That sure would be cool 😅
