You guys aren't used to it?! lol. I had to pause the video to appreciate that first full-frontal closeup of the altar for a second... It's stunning. I'm in love again and will be keeping my eyes open for more examples of gesamtkunstwerk. The circumcision surprised me. 😅 Renaissance art does seem to take more interest in... certain aspects of Jesus' body than I'm used to. Lots of public hair I haven't seen elsewhere. It's interesting...
truly an 'overload' for only two eyes ~ therefore I thank you very much for breaking it down into 'digestible' segments ;o) ... which made it very interesting and comprehensible!
i knew a descendant of Michael Pacher and JS Bach is name is Franz Bacher a great painter like his cousin lived in Mill Valley Cal died in 2008 had paintings hanging in the Guggenheim Museum u cam see him on the internet he is from royalty
These videos are always fascinating conversations but in this particular one, I couldn't help but notice, in spite of the abundance of visual material in this particular work of art, the amount of time that the camera spends on the panel depicting the genital mutilation of Jesus. A human rights violation adults never like to talk about, but love to justify in the name of religion.
God bless you both for being respectful and courteous in the presence of the Holy Presence!
What a mesmerazing piece of art this one by Michel Pacher, and how wonderfully offered to us! Thank you very much and greetings from Mexico.
Arthistorical greetings from St. Wolfgang! ☺️👋
