I am “walking my mom Home” now!
I have the Focus on The Family book: “Complete Guide to Caring for Aging Loved Ones” this has been a priceless resource to me!
I appreciate you covering this topic so much! It’s not talked about and frankly I feel like caretakers and their loved ones are so forgotten!
Blessings to you for shedding light on this topic!

Focus on the Family, You are missing a big chunk of people in your topic!! There are people who end up with in an accident or chronic disease that is a long time recovery and have NOBODY to help them! I have had friends who committed suicide due to nobody in the Christian communities to care for others! There is no government agencies or church ministries in modern society that help people who have no close family. It is pathetic that in these modern times, nobody cares for other people in churches. There is no Christian advocacy organizations! Things can change for a person at any moment and with people who are moving around the world in modern times, it will be a traumatic life altering death deifying point where there is no hope anymore. People also do not have $$$ to pay for medical bills or have someone to care for them. Why is it in modern culture there is no ministries that help people with chronic neurological or autoimmune diseases where people cannot even cook, clean, buy groceries, or even advocate for them?? Therese people are from 20 to 65. Churches overall are useless and outdated and it is like a drop-in center where there is no depth or care for others. Nuns are also become almost nil existence. Most people are not that Christian in today world. It is unfortunate that people have to commit suicide and/or leave the faith.

Indeed nuns of old did a huge service to society. Modern churches are full of self important narcissistic people who are too eager to condemn others for not doing their Christian "duty" in looking after the elderly or special needs people if they ask for respite or a financial contribution from other family members.
