Hannah you have such a wonderful story of overcoming your problems through running. I am already signed up to do a marathon in Queenstown, but you have inspired me to dedicate the race to my mother who died from Pancreatic cancer this May. I believe running to be such a celebration of life, so I reckon it's the best way to commemorate loved ones. Kia Kaha!

You took something that was destroying you and turned it around into something that created you and turned you into someone so much stronger than you were before. That really speaks to me. A lot. I have really bad depression and anxiety where I get suicidal a lot. Just recently it's been getting worse. And seeing this video makes me want to turn it all around and not give up. Over the hills and far away Hannah runs runs all day. By running an amount that test the limits of the body’s physical endurance you (in this instance) show your love and willingness to prove it. To challenge yourself to do one for whatever the reason is a feat within itself. It just so happen to be a major turning point in your life, which I wouldn’t have ever guest you had gone through. Now to do this for you pops is inspirational, and more amazing about it was, you accomplished it all while capturing yourself on video as you ran those 26.2 miles. Truly awe inspiring feat. May your wishes be heard and your fundraising be plentiful and abundant to provide the research needed to find a cure for this debilitating illness. As a reward for your heroic efforts have a mochi. You are good people and a very supportive family. The heart and love you’ve shown here is larger than the country you’re from. I’m not one prone to saying the following. You are truly a blessed individual and you’re being guided be a higher force. Because you’re ability to mutate a negative into a positive so effortlessly is remarkable.

Touching, honest, insightful. Thank you, this resonated with me. I only started running 6/7 years ago after finally finding a way to lose some weight. I've run several marathons and an ultra since. It's something that gives me a way to challenge myself. I suffer from stress and anxiety and its a way to show myself that I can do it. Hey Hannah - I am amazed that you can run so much and like it, we all have our own thing for something, and doing it with your dad is so lovely. I can't run because I have Arthritis in both of my feet, and can't run with my dad, because he passed away for a few years ago, and the same with my mom, miss them so much.

Well, that got me weeping uncontrollably! You're doing a really good thing, Hannah. The positive thing I always think when reading the Michael J Fox books is that he began to piece together (with his wife) a Foundation to support Parkinson's and put together a whole book whilst going into full blown early onset, so if he could do all that then it shows that you can still live your life to its fullest with the right support and love from family. I recommend reading the first and second books if your Dad has this as they give you a good idea of what goes on for the person who has it and are also incredibly positive about the whole thing, a really uplifting set of reads. Heartfelt good wishes to you and your family in the coming years.

Much love to you and the Daddy cool❤️.
Once I ran for 15km non-stop without any reason. Just wanted to run, but this did cost me my health.
I have asthma and I hate taking inhaler, instead I challenge it. I'm not kind of runner but I found out that cycling is what my body likes and whenever asthma catches back, I take some deep breaths, drink some water and carry on. Now, I do cycling for about 20-25km three days a week and asthma haven't seen me since 2018😅, unless I eat a whole lot of ice cream (which I love so much I can't explain).
    Thanks again Hannah.

I was 15 back then, but I got to say goodbye - which I'm grateful for at the very least.. I know not everybody has that luxury. I saw your story on youtube and can relate very much to it, in Dec17 I was 127K€ I was at the lowest low but on Xmas night my 2 sons (9 and 7 years) ask me to change my life and from that day onward I started my own journey - I exercise almost every day, run, swim, gym eat as clean as I possibly can. Today I'm 88kg dreaming on IronMan 70.3 going on my 4th half maraton. Just say I'm happy for your and If you really want something and put your heart and soul to it, it will come true. Great video! I’m preparing for my first marathon (actually ran a half marathon this morning) and the two questions I get from coworkers, family and friends is: don’t you get bored on runs? And why do you do that?
I never get bored on a run, no way. And as for why I run, I’m still trying to find a specific answer or an answer that I’m confident about, but there’s honestly so many answers not just one.
I’ve also learned over the last 7-8 weeks of really focusing on a training plan and mileage just how much time (and money depending on where you’re starting off) and dedication this sport requires and demands. I think most people assume running takes maybe 30 minutes a day and that can be true, but when prepping for marathons or just doing longer distances it really does consume you whole in a lot of ways (which is fine by me!).

This is an outstanding video! And I love how open and honest you are with the viewer about the real reason you started running. That takes bravery.

    What a powerfull video, Hannah.
I just started running last month together with my wife ( you can see her in my videos, as wel as my kids ).
Last week I found out I need surgery due to a Herniated Cervical Disk, I'm scared for the surgery but these videos help put things in perspective.

this is so beautiful, thank you for opening your heart in so many beautiful ways! I'm running my first one here in Amsterdam in October- seeing you and your "why" (which is very reminescent of mine) gave me goosebumps. thank you Hannah xxx

Wow, I know this was a year ago, but this is such an amazing video! Thank you for sharing your story, I imagine it might have been hard to tell at first. My grandma had Parkinson's, so this cause is very personal to me as well. Your dad is a fighter and so are you!
