The Evolution of Julie Chen's Hair
RaymondHng what about “Julien Chen Before and After Plastic Surgery”?
Omg lol
Her hair is a mess
The evolution of Julie Chens ethnicity.
Tbt when Audrey didn’t attend her own backdoor, what an icon.
A.J Deets a mood tbh
Which season was that
Alex idk wither 15 or 16
Alex 17
I hate when people call people “icons” on a fucking reality tv show. It sounds so autistic
The way I see the perfect backdoor plan to work:
Put up your 2nd and 3rd target.
If your 1st target is chosen for veto then hope they don't win although you can no longer backdoor them.
If they aren't chosen then perfect, you still have a chance to go with the plan.
If someone wins veto and uses it, then put up your 1st target and send them home.
If the veto isn't used, well at least one of your top 3 targets are going home and at least you didn't make a stupid mistake and waste your HoH.
If your 1st target wins the veto and uses it on your 2nd or 3rd target, then put up someone that for sure won't go home next to one of your targets, but make sure it won't hurt your game if the pawn goes home either.
This the best strategy for a successful HoH reign.
smart but you get a lot of blood on ur hands
The Backdoor is why you need a good social game
Periodt, just relying on comps won’t work.
“I will now perform... eating.” Ugh, the clips you show are ALWAYS on point.
god i miss Jenuis Johnson. she was my favorite in season 8 and my favorite moment was when Jameka was praying and crying and Jen was in the background talking about how the black belt didnt match the white rabbit suit she had to wear for a week
*J E N I S A N I C O N*
RodneyMoua a true icon.
Yeah, she was in Jensa
'I will now perform, eating.' My favourite Jen moment was when she cried about her wall picture hahaha.
I say Jen should do a meet and greet....she would sell so many tickets
Damn the original backdoor looked like the entrance of my school’s gym.
please never show footage from big brother 19, i try to forget that season ever happened
I wish he never showed Rachel, or any season she was on, god she ruined the game.
heorldofrock
If only Evil Dick remained in the game with Rachel. That would have been a game that never was.
RaymondHng That would have been the only way I could stomach her.
But seeing Paul lose twice by a single vote was BB gold.
Wikipedia banned my account from trying to delete that season from the official big brother page...
I've sometimes heard people who are ALREADY ON THE BLOCK AFTER THE NOM CEREMONY say that they DON'T WANT TO GET BACKDOORED. Smh casuals.
nakomis made big brother what it is today. nothing will top the six finger plan! also jen johnson is such a queen, i miss her so much
joey linden Jen Johnson was a fucking bitch
Yes and yes!
ryan 979 She’s the founder of JENSA don’t come for her 😂😂
Jen was a moron.
@@ryan979_ she didn’t do anything tho
JC: “Are we getting backdoored tonight?” 😳
Big Brother Fan haha he has no clue what’s going on in that house
Jc is hilarious!
I bet JC loves to get back doored ;)
Gross
I’m so glad you mentioned it was originally called the six finger plan. No one ever knows that.
Honestly, I think that the Six Finger Plan is a better name for clearing the water as to what it means.
Can you do a video explaining to people the difference between a FLOATER and a COASTER. Some people really don’t get that and it’s frustrating!
Survivorbbfreak Yep!
I agree. Floater goes from HOH to HOH kicking butt (Zach BB8), while you have a Coaster (Victoria BB16) who just doesn't do much and only wins a crap-shot veto comp.
Exactly! Dr. Will won no comps and won but new casual viewers just dont get it.
That would be a good video
I second this request!
i remember watching Nokomis hatch that plan live. It is STILL one of my top 5, if not, top 2 favorite moves on BB
Lol intro got me like wtf
I was ticked for a minute also, then I thought what the heck, I'd be interesting to see all the actual back doors through the seasons. Now I'm disappointed I didn't get to see them because I knew all this info anyway.
imnotabotrlyimnot I have a feeling you're being serious. If you are then all I can say is, my heart goes out to you, I can't imagine how sad your life is, poor poor poor you.
imnotabotrlyimnot HONESTLY SAME lol
I was never really into Big Brother before, but about a week into the game, I decided to catch up mostly thanks to you. Ever since I have really enjoyed it, so I want to thank you.
Yo it’s the marble race person!
One of my biggest pet peeves is people not knowing what backdoor means. That and people saying the pawn ALWAYS goes home. Always is 100% of the time and a vast majority of evictees were actually the TARGET.
Birkaran Dhillon usually the target is told they are a pawn.
Ikr, everyone someone in bb20 says pawns always go home, I thought of 4 that wasn't the case right off the bat
Definitions should be descriptive not prescriptive i.e. you shouldn't be able to force a definition on to a word but it's definition should be based on common usage. Unfortunately, common usage is that a backdoor takes place when the target is put up after one of the nominations is pulled off -- even in the BB house itself this is common usage. If we want to distinguish those who were unable to play in veto, maybe add a modifier ("pure backdoor" perhaps?).
@@tjaye427 Chima/Victoria/Spencer are the only ones I can think of where the pawn stayed safe, and even with Chima, Jessie had to break the tie in her favor to ensure her being safe. Don't forget Sheryl, Tonya, Michelle (BB4), and Dustin, who were all actual pawns, with Dustin even volunteering himself as the pawn, and the results told a different story
@@NYChica23 Dustin started off as a pawn and turned into the target
I’m a recent subscriber and I’m so glad your channel showed up in my recommendations because your sarcasm and clip usage is exactly my type of humor
❤
Thank you for giving Marvin some (well deserved) credit for the creation of the BD. :)
I'm really glad you make videos like this, since I only got into Big Brother because of Celebrity Big Brother these videos are great for helping me catch up. :)
WaffleToast215 finally someone is like me i went and watched cbb uk and then i thought of watching bbus and am glad 1.More drama 2.More showmances 3.Beefs 4.Backdoors XD
I almost clicked away at the beginning because I thought he really was talking about the evolution of the actual Blackfoot. Smh 😂😂
lmmfao
i like that you used level 6 alliance so everyone could relate easily.
I just had to subscribe.. the total number of subscribers on the channel ended in three 6’s, & we couldn’t have that 😉. Plus, I enjoyed the BB stats in description as well as the video. Nice work.
Man seeing all those clips of old BB, ugh love it!. I've been watching BB since the first season but really got into it in season 2. I was 12 years old.
Never put Paul in a video again. EVER!
I’m glad you keep making these big bro videos because whenever I try and explain this game to my friends I’m horrible at explaining it
Great video! It always bugs me how many misconceptions there are about backdooring and this video does a great job explaining what it is and its history in the game. There's been a lot of calls to change the game to remove the possibility of backdooring, but in reality it doesn't happen that often in most seasons (ex. only Cody being backdoored in season 19). The format is perfectly fine to me. The only big misconception out there not mentioned in this veto is those who have "escaped" the backdoor, meaning they got put up on the block as the target, didn't play for veto, yet survived the vote. Eric from season 8 is still the only person to pull it off (largely because the HOH Daniele made terrible initial noms), although people often mistakenly claim Vanessa did it too in a week she played for veto.
Hope to view more of your videos in the future!
The 6 finger plan will never be topped
opening with a joke. oh peridiam, you got me. love your videos. always watch your new vids on my lunchbreak man. love it.
❤
Peridiam, your videos are amazing!!
This was great! Please make more videos like this going over the history of Big Brother and go over the numbers!
I love the back door strategy it makes the show more exciting.
GOD BLESS!
What'd he say during those 10 seconds? I totally stopped paying attention.
The Man In Black He made a joke about the actual backdoor in the house
Rigby 😂😂😂
he said that if you play for the veto you can be backdoored
Such a great video!!! Love your research and editing style!
Thank you!
I love these videos. Such a trip down memory lane.
Oh and I hate when people think floating is terrible. LEARN THE MEANING OF THE WORD PEOPLE
Agree some of the all time greats were floaters Like Will BB2 and Jun BB4 and there’s Coasters like Victoria BB16
best example of a floater was Andy. He had alliances with EVERYONE but wasn’t really truly loyal to any of them. Dude flip flopped all the time and he won the whole season.
This season is shaping up to be a crazy one. i'm getting surprised almost every episode at this point.
Oh my gosh! Thank you!!! I always get aggravated when house guests use the term Backdoor for just a replacement nominee
Thank you for clearing that up. Many people get it wrong and it bugs me. Great video once again!
I swear newer players complain they got backdoored even though they literally played in the veto
I love your vids. They make me so happy as a big brother/survivor fan
TheNuggetMan ❤️
Thank you for making this video!
The backdoor is a good strategic play but you should not depend on it. This happens a lot with the later seasons where the house is divided 6-6 or 8-8 yet people are still back dooming because everyone only focuses on one person, not the whole side. It’s like if you have that mythical monster with multiple heads. Why would you put all your time into killing one head, when the one next to it is so much easier to kill. If the house is dived or you have multiple people gunning for you, you shouldn’t backdoor. Just put up 2 of the people against you to guarantee that one goes home. The only way that a backdoor is the best option is if there really is only one target and that one target happens to be a beast at comps. Examples : Kaitlin in BB20 putting up pawns to backdoor shaggy was dumb, why not put up 2 of his alliance members, that way even if the noms stay the same, you are still getting rid of an enemy. However, Scotty nominating his 2 biggest threats side by side was a good move, making it 100% that one would stay on the block. There’s my rant, hope you are happy
Glasses Matthew I agree, I think people care too much about getting excess blood on their hands that they could avoid. Makes no sense to me, but I also still think Dan really fucking deserved to be a two time winner. Not the best jury management but, goddamn did he play.
Rose Ella-Grace yeah he played a good game but Ian won 4 HoHs and 2 vetoes. Dan played out of pure desperation. Maybe if he played against Danielle I’d agree
A big thing is whether you have the votes, since there are 2 things you need to do in order to get someone evicted, get them nominated, and then have the majority of votes cast to evict them. For example Daniele in BB8 tried to backdoor Eric and did successfully get him on the block without him playing for veto, but idiotically made her initial noms 2 players who would have voted Eric out. Lo and behold, on eviction night Eric stays.
Julien Banks fair enough, and I don't begrudge Ian's win.. I did enjoy that season, and usually really like that mind game type of playing [like Derrick, he was phenomenal, and Dan's original game] and while Dan did use mental play when he was a returning player, it was just so damn fun watching him rip through everyone to make it to the end again. It would have been awesome to see him win against Danielle, but I do agree that Ian deserved his win just as much.
BB Banks Ian did not deserve to win just because he won competitions. Winning power doesn't mean anything in BB unless you know what to do with that power. (This is the same reason why I don't consider Janelle to be a good player--she won a lot, but had little strategy or focus.) The BB14 jury was full of morons who put their personal feelings before recognizing good gameplay, and Ian pandered to that, which is why he won. I really like Dan as a player, and I would have loved to see him win twice, but he missed the mark and played way too aggressively for that overly-sensitive BB14 jury.
Honestly, Tyler is probably gonna win Big Brother 20. But I am still rooting for Kaycee.
if you watch livefeeds hes actually growing on everyones radars as a manipulator because baleigh and rockstar have pretty much outed him as the person responsible for kaitlyns flip. hes very far from safe.
Elude irkz That’s interesting. I don’t have the live feeds myself but I get news from some of my friends that do. And honestly Kaycee is in a good spot, she managed to get into a strong alliance and nobody is really talking about her. That is where you want to be jn the game.
yeah i think her or sam will win mostly kaycee because she lays low and she's not on anyones radar but sam could win if she wasn't so nice and transparent she has to remember shes here to win not to save everyone and make friends
Kaycee is actually improving her position more and more as Tyler gets closer to getting in people’s radar. At this point, Scotty, Rockstar, Haleigh, and Faysal see him as a target. Meanwhile, Kaycee is making bonds outside her alliance with Kaitlyn and Bayleigh. Other than Tyler, she’s the only level 6 person making outside bonds.
Kaycee is the most invisible, boring and talks the least strategy though? 🤔
Omg yass i was waiting for ur video to come out
I actually stopped the video at 21 seconds in. Great video, now I know how the backdoor has evolved and it will forever change my viewpoint of this show.
I love your vids so much Sometimes I like when someone gets backdoored and sometimes I do not depends if I like the person getting backdoored and I agree with you if you play in the veto you can not get backdoored
I enjoyed this video, i wish you would have shown examples of people who claim to be backdoored when they still played in the veto, (like jace in allstars when james told him "you got to play in the veto you wern't backdoored" I also can't wait till you do a video on floaters because it went from a good strategy to being infamaous thansk to Rachel
Great work!!! Loved the video!
D M Thanks!
I, like most fans, enjoy a backdoor especially when successful, but to quote your Boi Scottie: "I ain't about that backdoor shit". He has the right idea currently to straight out say "If I respect you as a competitor, there's no need to backdoor you", because TECHNICALLY he's not lying or scheming, just playing a straight up game
This is such a niche channel and I fucking love everything about it.
That feel when you outsmart Peridiam by not subscribing so they don't put you on the block.
5:38 Wow! If that did happen in BB20, that would be so unfair!
MM?!?! Wow!
I love these videos!
I will say right now these videos have gotten me into watching Big Brother. Thankfully, it's looking like the new season is gonna be a good one. Thank goodness you didn't start doing this during the dumpster fire that was Big Brother 19.
Dodged a bullet, ha.
Great video!! I like the back door, but in some instances I felt it was not necessary. I like for the intended target(s) to go up more, it is always more dramatic💥😁
Yo I was really mad when he started talking about actual doors. He really got me for a second.
Love it. Always exhilarating or infuriating!
Really had me at first. I was like really! The evolution of the actual backdoor. I must be high.
Ryan from the latest season of Big Brother Canada was the most recent person to use Nakomis' original strategy by putting up his allies Andrew and Hamza. Unfortunately it failed spectacularly as Andrew and Ryan failed to complete even 3/4 of their veto puzzle and Hamza coming in 2nd place. (Veto) Winner Erica didnt use it on anyone and Andrew was sent packing.
Just curious, do the 30 backdoors include situations where the person evicted was not the initial target? (The two original nominees not being pawns but rather actual targets, until the HOH changed their target mid-week or after the Veto is won?) I'm not sure if that makes sense, but I'm curious if people consider situations like that to be backdoors. I always have but now that I think about it, it wouldn't technically fit the backdoor strategy.
What a fun stroll through memory lane. Bb5 was such a phenomenal season. They don’t make houseguests like Jase anymore. ❤️
First minute had me very angry lol good job dude
Thank you for thisss
New BB viewer this season. Didn't realize that was why Veto noms are random. Cool!
Coming back to this after seeing Derek X finally conducting an actual textbook backdoor. I am loving this season.
Awesome video. How about one on the term "floater" and why it shouldn't be a dirty word? Ever since Rachel Reilly it seems like no one knows what a floater actually is. They use it to describe anyone who isn't demonstratively a member of a large alliance.
Jase was also backdoored twice, once in BB5 & then again in BB7 (All Stars)
No, he played in the veto competition in BB7
I am very confused, so if I were to lose the veto and then I was put up and then I get voted out I was not backdoored but I was just evicted
I think it is a good thing, generally. Without that little bit of potential chaos, it gets a little too easy for a mastermind to control everything, which while impressive doesn't make for great viewing.
Ahh..so nice going down big brother memory lane
HAHAHA That last clip! Classic. And then Dick STAYS! All because of one America's Player. Funny enough, the ominous presence of a possible twist for America's Player has remained to this day, even if there has been no other.
I laughed so hard at the beginning
Okay i def giggled at that begining backdoor bit lmao
@Peridiam Would you count it as a backdoor, if someone who didn't play in veto only becomes a target after the veto comp but before the veto ceremony?
Inversely, is it a backdoor, if the main target wins veto, and someone who is the back up plan doesn't play veto goes up instead? Or if someone who is a pawn who doesn't play in veto goes up and out?
For the first question, yeah, it's a backdoor as long as that person gets nominated as a replacement.
For the inverse, it's also a backdoor in your example if that back-up target goes up as a replacement without playing in the veto. Same thing with a pawn who goes up and out too!
You should make a video on how Will could've won twice if it wasn't for Erika spilling the beans at f4, because of that if that didn't happen and she was still clueless, would it have ruined Janelle's legacy, and would she have even won? That'd be interesting.
This season I'm talking about was All Stars btw
Janelle won the veto and THEN erika spilled the beans, trying to convince Janelle to vote out Will instead of her.
Idontgivetkachuk Janelle's still never won, though. Kinda why she has a legacy, she's a beast and could have won but never did / has.
Will also played that season for Boogie, he turned down the offer until they agreed to bring them both back. I don't think he wanted to win AS's, he won by helping Boogie win.
Idontgivetkachuk I'm pretty sure if will kissed janelle and showed her more love he would have survived and won the game
Rose Ella-Grace yeah they even opened a restaurant together I think
I love when they Backdoor the person who loses the POV comp.
I consider putting someone on the block after the veto that was not originally nominated as a backdoor. Whether or not they competed in the veto
Hahaha. I kind of wish you'd ended at the 20 second mark...that was great.
I think if the video truly ended at 20 seconds I wouldn’t be disappointed.
awesome vid
I didn’t know about the veto comp part where if you play you can’t get back doored! Mind boggling!!
I'd be interested in a video analyzing whether the phrase "pawns go home" is as true as players seem to think it is :) Like, what percentage of the time have pawns actually gone home out of all the noms that included a pawn?
List of backdoors.

So what term, if not “back door”, should they use that everyone agrees on and know what it means?
oh my gosh its so nice to remember seasons were the DR isn't scripted
What is it with people with their first name beginning with J getting backdoored
I’ve watched this game since season 10 and literally every time I see old house guests I get so confused and I’m like wait THEY were in the same season???
Peridium I think it would be a good idea to make a video in the future about the newest amazing race season being big brother/survivor all stars. I’d like to see your opinion on the cast
Thank you for making this. Now I can copy this link when idiots don’t understand how back dooring actually works!
my favorite backdoors are the ones that completely fail like becky’s attempt to get vanessa out 😂
Steve looks like the one dude from The Emperors New Groove.
Also, I just realized Mike from BB 5 was from the same city as I was.
Greed summary! I was waiting to see if you was going to give proper credit to the guys that originally created the scheme, and you did!
However, if it was originally called the 6 Finger Plan - with no chance of playing in the veto comp. Then, if you can play the veto comp, the evolved format would be...The Backdoor.
I hope my point makes sense 😀
I love the backdoor but I think you should have mentioned how hard it is to survive with Vanessa and Eric being the only 2 that have managed to survive.
Actually it is only Eric. Vanessa was put up as a replacement nom by Becky, but she played in veto that week.
Yo you had me in the first half
I would like to see a season having a twist that evicts both nominees of a pre-determined week. Julie would explain this to them first day, and then it would create paranoia, because no more pawns would like to be pawns.
Dustin, you have been evicted from the Big Brother house
*surprised pikachu face*
I love it, and I do correct people all the time lol!
I remember Evel Dick LMAO! Very entertaining season.
I don’t mind the backdoor. Adds some drama, you play to win the game.
