You absolutely killed it Dave, Congrats! The shoe buckle was sweet, but those 2 French coins, WOW! I actually nabbed a 1793 2 Sols in Plymouth 17 years ago- quite the massive coin- probably the thickest and heaviest coin I've ever found. Thanks for taking us along and keep up the successful hunts!
Sweet finds Dave!! Holy cow, those French coins are awesome! That thick one is big like my Rosa Americana. Great stuff, that shilling though! I thought you had a 1652 tree coin in hand! Wicked happy hunting 👊
Hi Ed, I would hunt around old spots, a lot of people will hunt the paths going through the woods, I hunt the woods around those paths, the woods around old bogs or parks, I mainly hunt the woods. I have found several colonial sights by doing this, there's no old maps that go back to the 1700's so it's more of exploring. Check around bottle dumps are also a good spot, as you may find that there may have been a house at some point near by 😁 Exploring is key! And learn your machine by testing different metals, and testing how deep your machine will find items do to size and type of metal, if you don't learn your machine, it won't matter if you swing over it 😉 Hope this is somewhat helpful, I don't own a 700, and I believe it has the newer target ID 🤔 like the 900. HH and good luck 😉
Thanks Dave, I'm not new to Detecting. This is my 2nd Minelab. I just suck at it. However I do know of a bottle dump in Osterville. And some trails in the woods, I'll give it a try.
@Ed Bangs The last 2 sights I have been getting all these coins out of have been trashy sights with newer and older trash, Equinox can pull the good targets out of these sights. I figure the old detectors couldn't separate the targets, so I get all the goodies past detectorist couldn't 🥰 HH!
I think my digging partner wouldn't be happy if someone beat him to the spot 😅 Hoping to get Jim here soon 😁 Thanks for the offer 🥰 Have to check out your channel 😉 Hope you have found bunches of SILVER!!! 😁
