the center console front part has 2 clips which are on the floor . so you have to lift the back and pull up on the front part . at least on a 2007 jeep compass. when you put it back , u put it in position and push down on the front to engage the clips
My gear shifter is stuck and im wondering how to move it from park to drive... I tried the gear shifter release but it works fine... Im thinking its the cold weather because ut can move to neautral but wont move any further

Vro why did you take the cover aff and put any of that in neutral and all that other nonsense to remever the center council?
I Replaced the CVT2 Transmission on my jeep 2013 patriot and know the shift cable will NOT align with the trans arm im baffled ( drive is neutral )
Check the adjustment or a bent bracket.
