    I’m in California. What would be a perfect dual sport both some trail and street? Those CST looked better than stock, and I can get the Shinko 241, but I heard they’re heavy :-(

    The kenda trackmaster have a 70/100-19 that people have really liked here for the rear as it is a good bit more shaped like a standard rear tire(wide paddle like knob spacing). I'm finishing up a 16" rear rim and tire combo that will add some weight but alot of traction going from 70 to 90 width but should still fit without trimming

      Agreed this is the best option for the rear currently. Wish someone would actually design and build a rear specific tire for the SurRon rather than using front tires off my bikes that are not designed for the rear.

    I like how you keep your accessories front and center. I was looking at the seat cover the whole video.
    Any chance you'll be making a front fender that fits the RST forks? Us RST owners are dying for one that looks good or even similar to stock.

    In USA they offer a 18x3.00 rear tire from the Shinko 241 series. That is an exact match in size to the stock rear tire.

    • @allanshpeley4284

      19" is stock

    • @Fighter4Street
      @Fighter4Street Год назад

      @@allanshpeley4284 Yes, 19x2.5? I forget the size, but the stock tire in the rear is a skinny 19x2.5 or something. A 18x3.00 tire is fatter and has more tread so it is the same exact height as the stock tire.
      The 18x3.00 tire is built for the rear of a bike also and is very soft tread. This tire is so much better than the stock 19" in the rear.
      For the front, I leave my 19" stock tire on my bike, it works fine there and doesn't wear out quickly.
      so I ride with a 19" front, 18x3.00" rear, and my bike geometry has not changed.

    • @allanshpeley4284
      @allanshpeley4284 Год назад

      @@Fighter4Street Ah I gotcha, they're the same height with the larger tread of the 18" tire. Fun fact: a 26" mtb wheel/tire is about the same height as a 21" dirt bike wheel/tire.

      We rode our stock CST’s for one season but the traction is pitiful up front so I’m ditching them. So many better front tire options out there for a messily $50 well worth the $. The front ends on these wash out so easy, can be dangerous if you aren’t an experienced rider. Better front tire helps a lot.

      @@BrianLampright913 washout also because not much weight on the front end,I find if you put some weight over front wheel it won't washout so easy but you are right better front tyre is recommended 💯😎

      @@BrianLampright913 can you give me a recommendation on which tire is best up front?

    • @BrianLampright913
      @BrianLampright913 3 года назад +2

      @@budwhite9781 there are many that are excellent on the MX bikes and come in 19" 70/100-19: Dunlop MX33 is a personal favorite, but also Michelin Starcross 5, Shinko 524, Pirelli Scorpion. All of those are great tires. Rear tires are more difficult, because these size tires are design for a front motorcycle, so far in the rear the Kenda K760 seems to be the best option for me.

  • @budwhite9781

    If it isn't a horse...it'll be a sign falling down. I personally have the shinko 244 on.

    • @budwhite9781
      @budwhite9781 3 года назад

      @Dave C. Yes, I did. I ended up just using them for my rear wheel and put the stock tire back on the front. The stock tire on the front is still looking new after 1100 miles on it at a a weight of 230 lbs. Like this man said, the stock tires are very light which is a big bonus.
