- So a 4x4 is pretty good… so how to make it better? Well of course make it a 4x4 Sliding Door of course! And as always, this build works for all versions of Minecraft Bedrock Edition (PE/Xbox/PS4/Windows10/Switch)

This is amazing! I am connecting this to a lever combination lock and then I used another 4 x 4 piston door from your channel to connect that to an item frame combination lock. This really helps my secret bunker. Thanks again. 😉

Hey, I don't expect you to reply but is there a way in which you could open and close the door with buttons (on both sides) that disregard the other signal to open and close it no matter what.
For future viewers... look up t-flipflops. You can use them as glorified levers. They ensure that the second pulse of any stone button gets ignored while keeping the power on until you tell it to switch off. Just be aware of where the input line goes in on the t-flipflop if you want to convert it use by multiple buttons. Bow-Tie even made a video covering them.

I’m wondering if you built this yet because mine isn’t working and idk if it’s because this video is a year old or I messed something up on the redstone
Never mind, it does work I was just missing one repeater. It was making me mad cuz the the door wouldn’t open but I rewatched and it works
@@x420pm0ney indeed. It's very often the tick speed timing that screws a Redstone build up.
Very few significant Redstone changes occurred between a year ago and now, and most of that had been bugfixes.
This build didn't rely on any bugs, so there's a good chance it will work even in 1.18

my suggestion: an elevator(no flying machine one) that works in the nether, since translocation got patched in 1.15 beta and I don’t want to use glitched bubble coloumns.
Good idea, thanks for the idea. Annoyingly piston and slime elevators are slightly bugged at present but I can have a look 😁
this build doesn't work anymore. When the piston with redstone on it gets activated it stays active...

Hey Bow Tie Man! Enjoying your videos, the circuit guide helped me a lot! I'm a little confused with this build, maybe you could help? At 4:44 you show an error and tell us to remove that one sticky piston and observer but it seems you still have them in place at for the rest of the build? When you cut back and place the rest of the observers you still have 4, not 3? At 5:35 you place a block on the side of the piston you said we needed to remove? Am I just not seeing this right or something? So confused, hope you can help, thanks!

Anyone know how I can add a button to this door with a long pulse to where the door will open fully and allow me to go through and then close behind me without having to push another button to close the door. I’m not very good with red stone and I’ve been looking around for forever now and have not found anything. Thanks in advance!

Is this design expandable upwards? So you could do 8 not 4 high and one half sliding left and one right. That could make an 8x8.

Can anyone help please ? I’ve gone over it 10 time’s and rewatched this video countless times. When I press the lever to close the door it works fine but when I press it again to close an it doesn’t close, i took away the slime for and sticky pistons to see what the pistons did, the first line works fine, the second line opens when you press the level but doesn’t close again and the third line opens as soon as you place them then doesn’t close.... been trying to figure this out for 4 hours 😫
Could you do a vault door like fallout 4 and 3 please great tutorial too. How do you do a 5 x 5 door
My one question is how to activate this by a lever on the wall. I wanna figure that out. I would appreciate it if you made a video or something on how to make it. Either way, thanks for this! :)
Edit: I figured out how to do this. Simply put a sticky piston with a redstone block 1 block above the lever with enough space so when the piston isn’t active the door isn’t active then you’re on your own for activating the piston from there.

@3:55 my piston pushes open. I've built this now about 5 times and each time that piston opens up and yeah well, cant get the door to work. Built it on ground, mid air etc to prevent any other redstone signals to interfere. Using this in java 1.15.2. any ideas?
Sorry this build is for bedrock edition only I'm afraid... And Java isn't bedrock 😔
