For radon you drill a hole in top portion of drain on the inside form. After house is framed run a 3"schedule 40 pipe up through a framed wall and out through the roof towards the peak. Flash like a vent pipe. This is a passive system. If you find radon levels are higher than acceptable you can easily cut into the pipe and turn it into an active system by adding a radon fan. NO ugly pipe on outside of your home.
In conjunction with the limestone, it’s far superior IMO. It stays in place after the footers are poured. It will drain from both sides and acts as a passive radon vent when hooked to 3” pvc and vented through the roof. I just posted a video of the completed system with the limestone in place.
I'm really excited for you folks! Leila and I are planning a new house for next year so hopefully it will happen.
May the good Lord bless the troops!
Thanks! Good luck with your build. I pray you get it rolling next year!

Love form a drain. Wish I would have used it when I built my garage!!

Definitely a great system. A swarm moved in to some of my boxes.
You had said before the form a drain works as a radon vent too. Does it need a blower hooked up like a conventional radon system?
No. I believe it just takes the path of least resistance.

Thats an interesting system that we don’t see used here. Whats the benifit of that system vs plain old 4” big 0 pipe with a sock?
