Jack White - I Fought Piranhas (It MIight Get Loud)

- Видеоклипы
Of everything Jack has done this is the performance I come back to time and time again.
Yeah I need to download this before it vanishes from some bullshit claim. Fucking amazing.
Fuck yes
Me too honestly
In the back of my mind almost all the time
Same.
He is like he's stuck between 2 time eras.
Yes. Many of us are.
Francisco Fregona ..Oh he ain't stuck..
He was booted time travel style straight out of a blues club circa 1960s Chicago, and now he's here.
here they are stuck between two errors, and both suck
Austin Faulds (Jolene live) I got ur reference
jack has sat at the crossroads
***** waiting for someone to ask for a contract...
digg dogg - I believe if one were to sit at the crossroads of today (or tonight), they just might find Jack's the one offering the contracts.
Don Michael Corbin that is no shit
Don Michael Corbin i would not be shocked in the slightest
I've never been a huge fan. I stopped listening to anything new after about 2002/2003. But the first two minutes of this, INSTANTLY made me a fan of this guy. This just oozed coolness. I'm going to go binge on Jack White this weekend!!
Theres a lot of new blues, blue grass and country thats really good. People that get it. Youre missing out
That, ladies and gentlemen, was one of the moments of my creative enlightenment
When Jack released his first solo album I thought it would be like this and Fly Farm Blues, I still waiting for that raw blues album!
I've wished for that exact type of album too. Fly Farm Blues is my favorite solo song he's ever done. A full album of only songs like this or Fly Farm Blues would be a dream come true.
Jack's upholstery experience came into play when hammering the tiny nails.
goncack I was surprised how well he can swing a hammer until I remembered he was originally an upholsterer.
1234 not anymore bud they're pussies now
"Who says you got to buy a guitar?" 20 seconds later he's playing a guitar.
He was given that guitar, so didn't buy it 👉👉
I think you missed the point of the statement.
He’s not saying you SHOULDN’T use a six string guitar, but that you can make valuable music with something much less, like a diddley bow.
Shut up
If you don't get it, you don't get it
One if the greatest music videos of all time if you ask me
Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jack White and Jimmy Page, great lads.
Benjamin Larsson Jack White is no where near the musical knowledge or technical ability of these Stevie Ray Vaughn and especially not Jimmy Page. I love Jack White's music, and he is amazingly creative, but he's not a guitar virtuoso.
Christopher Briscoe Do you know what Jack can/can't for a fact - has it been reliably reported, or do you feel u know him well enough personally to make this judgment? Or is that just ur own (cynical) ASSumption being made, that makes u so sure? Just cos he doesnt publish anything (that u know of) in that style, doesn't mean he can't PLAY that style..
Page's riffs n licks in LZ - although undeniably brilliant - were not extraordinarily technical or virtuosic. Page's session work n whatnot served to illustrated the full scope of his technical ability. However, musical brilliance(genius) and technical ability are not mutually exclusive. Especially in rock/blues, the quality of a lick/riff/song is not measured by, nor directly proportional to, how technically advanced the piece is. Otherwise a lot more fret melting, scale shredding metal players would wear the crown.
Also, worth noting many of the world's most respected fret frollickers are in fact 'feel' players, not techo 'speed' players..
& jimi hendrix
Might wanna change from great lads to great musicians. Jimmy page is far from a great guy lol.
bvdek virtuosity isn’t measured by taste alone.
genius in my book
jack white is a great musician. enough said
Cristian Garcia He's a mediocre guitar player, who is extremely creative. His creativity is what so amazing really.
+Cristopher Briscoe I have to agree there,it is the creativity and emotion in his music that makes him special, much more so than technical ability.
CarnalKid I love this guy's albums. He may not be a highly technical musician but his songs, are high art. The man is brilliant musically.
@@christopherbriscoe3308 I wouldn't exactly call ball and biscuit or death letter live at blackpool mediocre. Very insulting.
I thought "it might get loud" meant that the sound coming from the video might get louder than usual, so I lowered the volume...
Ramone Corentin me too!
Ramone Corentin same
This made my day lmao
xD no it's a good movie with Jack White in it!
I love you very much, thank you for existing.
Wow #JackWhite 🤍

His name is Jack White......and if ya dont know, now ya know! Cant believe you left a opening for that one. Get 'em Jack!
The Blues Devil himself. He has the soul of Robert Johnson, Huddie Ledbetter, Son House, Blind Willie McTell ect. All the blues legends that sold their souls to him.
Favorite song of all time :)
Man I absolutely love this song !
That was freakin' awesome. Sometimes I wish that I could play like that, that was really cool.
Can't get enough of 3:05-3:18 or really any time he does that type of thing. There's a lot of that in this song and it's glorious.
check the guitar in his If I die Tomorrow - - -i listen to it twice every time i play the album
The *"muuu"* at the end was really funny hahahaha
I love him
He is a real artist
Pure, raw, real talent.
Absolutely epic. Pure and raw.
He has changed SO much over the years. Is he even the same person anymore?
That’s life though we are all changing everyday

You just AWESOME 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
jack is in a class by himself 💋✌❤
"Who says you have to buy a guitar?" You only need to buy a pick up, a string, a plug in, a slide, an amp, and a cable!
...and an electrical outlet.
Than build it
You can buy parts and build pickups cables and amps and if you want a slide just go to your local Home Depot and get them to cut you a section of pipe
And a bottle of coke
@@CharlieWhite101 and a hammer and a few nauls

WOW !!!!! What the hell was that ! I am mostly a hard rocker but I had to add this to my music collection.
AJ ME I Fought Piranhas by The White Stripes. Their music is the beautiful love child of hard rock and blues.
Those who can not do, judge!
studio winfield Well ard
studio winfield I think the old saying is ' those who can't do, teach...'
bvdek those who cant teach, teach gym
bvdek knowledge is useless. Unless you share it.
studio winfield I would be to embarrased to do this garbage lol that's the only reason I don't.
Jack White - "Technology destroys creativity."
-Proceeds to make an electric guitar-
He's spoken more about that on how he only likes technology as an enhancer but not as a supplement
bvdek Way to go sensitive ass cheeck!
thats why Jack STILL reupholsters for others... creativity!! Balance my friend☮️
the quote is "technology is a big destroyer of emotion and truth"
say that to Trent Reznor ;)
My favorite song of the album
That little rake thing at 3:09
Epitome of cool.
awesome, thanks dude ;)
Omg he’s playing for the cows

So badass
So BIIIIIIG!!!!!

Jack White is our times Johnny Cash.
Bass Trammel I’d say a mixture of Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, and Neil Young, but I like how you’re thinking.
Settle down but looks promising.... hahaha
Absolutely.
I reckon in like 50 years we'll all be looking back at Jack & his performances the same way we do about 1920's and 1930's blues 😊
Guitar: no purchase necessary! Pickups, strings, amp, Coke sold separately.
And if you pay attention you can hear paint it black in the end...
Probably did it subconsciously cause yeah Jack White lol
Str8 up bad ass dude
Good stuff:)
The king. One of my favorites. Just wish the video was LOUDER!
qui su youtube trovi il video completo in italiano,io l'ho già visto tre volte ed è sempre uno spettacolo anche se in originale è sempre bello :)
Gibson Custom Shop is releasing a Jack White signature model Diddley Bow. Their best luthiers have taken this version apart and meticulously copied each part in perfect detail, right down to the wood grain, level of dirt on the wood, the brand of electrical tape, type of wire, coke bottle, nail rust, etc. They acquired the actual hammer Jack used in this video to craft each instrument. They analyzed this video using the latest software to exactly reproduce the force and velocity and number of hammer blows. They sought out the actual cows and their manure and brought them into the custom shop to have them watch each instrument being skillfullycrafted. Each of the 50 limited edition models will be signed by Jack. MSRP $185,000 - which includes a potato sack gig bag, a DVD documentary on the planning and production of the Bows, and 8 * 10 framed photo of each cow.

Just remember, Duane Allman and Muscle Shoals brought blues out of the Delta... Duane was only 24 when he died.
god, he's great..
sexy, sexy, sexy!
Love me a bit of slide guitar
My grandad made a banjo out of a spam can
Did anyone else build this as a kid after seeing this? I fucking did
Why do y'all have to ruin everything by arguing? Like who you like, listen to them, don't like the others, don't listen to them. Peace out people. Grow up!
They don't make them like this anymore...🙌
They do, but people not looking/hearing so harder to discover.
Just for example the Mainstream would've never recognized the White Stripes / Jack White, the guy still would be out there doing his thing.
But I get what you mean & also it would be very sad when there would be no light out there anymore.
Blaze it
Anyone know what the brown box on top of his amp is, on top of the amp head? I'm wondering if it's a homemade standalone reverb tank, because the reverb on the guitar sounds better than the Silvertone reverb, which Jack said he doesn't even use... I think that was from a Guitar Player magazine interview.
soul
guitar god
gotta say the way he sings it on the album is waaaay better but i still love anything jack white
Is the thing ontop of his amp an attenuator?
Anybody know what the wooden box is on top of the amp? Attenuator? Reverb?

If Severus Snape, Johnny Depp, Keef Richards, Clapton and The Joker had a Baby, it would be Jack White
I'm glad he doesn't speak as slow as Snape and Depp though. ;)

If I were Jack White, I wouldn't sully those sacred hands with a hammer! That said, he drives a nail like a pro.
This must be in some version of the movie that I don't have, which is both on DVD and Google Play.
Wow there is white version of jack now we just need jack yellow
What is that guitar ?
Has this scene been in the movie 🤔?
Hotie singing the blues ray of light
Is this the kay archtop?

nuff said :P
Nice audio boo
This song was on their first album. The album closer i think. Idk, he plays differently now. Hes become more self aware. To me, it sounds like hes lost his old primitive spontaneity.
I swear the cow rolled his eyes
what type of guitar is he using there?? (and no I don't mean the piece of wood at the beginning) ;)
It is a 'Kay' Hollowbody Guitar made in the 50's. From what I have seen in live performances he mostly uses it for slide guitar. From what I recall he also used it to record Seven Nation Army. Add some fuzz/octaver and that thing sounds dirty, gritty and awesome A/F. After typing this I noticed ur comment is half a decade old so I assume u prolly knew by now. :)
You either get it or you don’t
Jack white
I wanna meet him too
aah ok.. grazie =) già infatti xd
