Still rocking this watch, I’ve dove and spearfished with this watch. Strap is still good as new since 2017. A Japanese friend gave me this watch as a get well soon present when I had my hip surgery. Gives you a secret service vibe when rocking a black suit!!!😮
Just like in your other videos, you do such an amazing job explaining the technology behind the watch. You say it's so fluently and explain it better it almost sounds like you designed it yourself. Amazing. Haven't heard the spring drive describe this way before.
This isn't a Grand Seiko but a Seiko with a SD movement. The watch is assembled however in Grand Seiko’s Morioka studio. Pretty sure the strap minder is Titanium as well. The watch is made from high-intensity titanium, (an alloy of Titanium/Iron/Niobium) giving it a hardness greater than a more pure alloy. Watch also has a 72 hr Power reserve.
How much does this Spring Drive cost to get serviced? Can it only be serviced by Seiko? P.S. I would wear this at weddings. Anyone that would say something to me at the wedding would enjoy a long conversation about liberty and quality.
old ones were... not these new silicone ones. they are butter soft... even more comfortable then the isofrane. I own both, love both but I like the practical dive feature of the waves on the sides of the strap. just wish they came in shorter length... minor gripe. also, the wave seem to help center what is a big, tall watch on your wrist, adding to the comfort level for piece like this.

Any source on it being made in the GS studio?
I have an SBDB008, really amazing watch, nothing better than Spring Drive!
I have the SBDB013 which is virtually identical and its amazing watch for the money, alot of bang for your buck. Its also very comfortable to wear.
Whats exactly is the diff between 009 and 013?
Daryl Adams Only thing is the crown I believe. The 9 has the S signed crown and 13 has the prospect signed.
The hands are also different
Is it sold? How much or how much did it sell for?
spring drive second hand sweep with power reserve is very good.
21mm - i think a 22mm NATO will fit it too..?
A better watch than any swiss watch.
What,s a good price to pay for this watch in used condition.
Love this watch. Thanks for another great showing Tim! Buy link?

Probably get you a nice lil' Presage for about 4-600$ for the weddings.
Wear this with EVERYTHING else.
What’s your wrist size?
Let's play hockey!

Grand Seiko?
Those textured regions are so uncomfortable. They dig into the sides of the wrist. I recommend an uncle seiko or isofrane strap instead.

Than watch kicks any swiss ass, just with the spring drive alone is already winning.
Lugs are 22 mm. 🤦🏻♂️
This watch is ridiculous and ugly! but it is so awesome. I want to wear a hockey puck with a spring drive on my wrist!
May this watch bestow skill on you reminiscent of Wayne Gretzky.
