The '67/'68 Firebird was the most handsome of all muscle cars in my opinion. Its amazing to me they changed it so much in '69. The 400 version is a god damned beast too
I almost agree with you! The Firebirds are definitely better looking than the Cameros, but for me it's that first-generation Cougar that takes the beauty prize, that's why this scene is so awesome--two of the best lookers! Although the Cougar in this scene had its looks terribly mitigated by jacking it up!
The Cougar was a NICE! Car looks good with the raked up back. Those mag's are 1 of my favorite looks they do alot off cars in these 70s movies alot of Justice I noticed.
My friend didn't like it when i went spring over on the rear of my 67 cougar. He told me about this movie so Iwatched it. At least it is something people used to do. There is a little video on my channel with that jacked up cougar.
Those were the days, may they never come again jacking cars like that up, illogical fad that hindered performance, wore the front end out and destroyed handeling
Yes they even did that in the UK where I live! Back in the 70's there used to be loads of jacked up Ford Escorts & Ford Cortinas! All for show & no go! All driven by attention seeking hairy chested medallion men with big hair & sun glasses.
@@Minong_Manitou_Mishepeshu That and longer rear shackles on the back end of the leaf springs. I’m kinda shocked that these cars handled as good as they did!

Don't you just love the sound effects of tires screeching on a dirt road?
That cougar was jacked up higher than a mountain lion lol
I remember that craze from the 70's. Owners felt that the stance made the car look more aggressive but it made for absolutely terrible handling!
I love that 68 Firebird. Looks like a mini GTO.
@freddyfuqward The goat was first.
Like the lift on the cougar (vintage old school) reminds me of high school, like all the muscle cars at the biker hang out to🤩
I love all the clips you guys have put out! They're are a blast to watch!
It's good seeing Mercury vs Pontiac, the 2 Mid-level brands From Ford and GM and not just Ford vs Chevy.

The cougar looked like a stink bug ready to spray 😂
OHHH
WHAT A HOT MAMA IN THEM BOOTS
WHEWWWW
WOMAN TODAY ARE OBESE AND UGLY COMPARED TO YRS AGO

But it made your car look like a cartoon! So cool! 😃

Love both of these Cars, First gen Firebird and the Mustang Based Cougar
The Mercury cougar had a slightly longer wheelbase than it's Ford counterpart.
Cool...like playing with my old Hot Wheels cars...
Gotta love the side pipes!! Looks mean i.love it on the Bird.
3:24 It's like Bo Duke and Paul Walker had a love child......
NAILED it!
It's funny how jacked up the cars are which actually hurts handling.
Makes me wonder why most movies that feature cars and traveling don't have cars like these it's always the grandma cars
holy sh!t the suspension on them sucks
Dude i NEED the song that was playing in the background.
Let some air out of your rear shocks man.....
Thank You
Thats how they did it then, back in the days before rims.

These crazy mothers are getting their kicks
I don’t want any hassle
Shit!
The Elvis Presley Shoplifter haha was gonna say the same thing! That Cat is jacked up 20' in the air!
3:23 SHE seemed to think it was fun right up until about then.
