That's where the Psi Divisions judges and Cassandra Anderson come in to save the Judge Dredd universe from it's nightmare horror

Fun fact; there's a Judge Dredd novel called "Dread Dominion" which involves a corrupt parallel universe ruled by an evil version of Dredd, and their Psi-Division is capable of far greater feats of psychic mayhem and terror - even Chief Judge Dread, whose prime-dimensional counterpart is just barely above being a psi-blank, is capable of feats like biokinetically transmogrifying humans into giant still-beating hearts. So as terrifying and/or incompetent as Psi Division can come off in canon... they *could* be worse.

Judge Dredd would be perfect for a videogame in the style of RoboCop Rogue City
Judge Dread Robocop and Terminator, the beat crossover since Aliens vs Predator.
Closest we'll probably get is Dredd vs. Death. Which was a pretty fun little game, and can be argued as the direct inspiration for many of Robocop Rogue city's game mechanics.
With a few details modified, such as Judge Dredd being able to move faster.

If anyone's at loose ends looking for a book to read I can heartily recommend Judge Anderson Psi Division 01: Fear the Darkness. Personally I consider it a very good book. Volumes 2 & 3 are alright, though not as good.

40k is Dune + 2000 AD + Star Wars + Terminator + Starship Troopers etc
GW has such a massive legal department for the same reason why a cat burglar would have a comprehensive home security system.

This makes me want Karl Urban to make a Dredd sequel or a series with a focus of Anderson as she moves up the Rank leaving off from the movie as she grows stronger and powerful to the Anderson we all.know a powerful leader and commander of the Justice PSI division.
Sadly it will never happen but still Karl Urban is doing great and even he said he'd love to do a sequel of Dredd and since The Boys is killing it and i am hype and ready for season 4 along with Arcane Season 2 this year is a nice year.

Listening to this lore i havew feeeling wrighters run out of ideas and start puting in things which dont really work and more esoteric they went more crazy counter have to be untill you get to the maddnes.
Magic in Judge Dred is not something that I would expect.
I would expect some nasty things, or even small street level crime stories like the Punisher.
But this reeks of 40k influence.
I've been reading 2000ad comic for over 30 years and 'magic' has always been a part of the Judge Dredd story line. And, a lot of it is far more bizarre than anything 40k ever cooked up.
Warhammer 40,000 stole from Judge Dread.
To say otherwise would be like saying Dune stole from Warhammer 40,000.
Dan Abnett who wrote a lot of JD is also one of the top writers for 40k and HH

@@Ozzystrayroo theres a frame I will never forget from one of them comics I think it was when every was overtaken by plants and everyone was living in simulated reality and damn lo and behold there was Dredd sitting on his arm chair 60/70s style with a Whiskey at hand and Cassandra wearing a babydoll telling him to go back to bed and I was like..damn priceless..I knew I would never see something the like again and I was ok with it. Their relationship always has tiny bits here and there, never need it to be romantic. They were real partners and that shit it's deep enough.

Im naive to the Judge dread comics and basically just know the basic premise, so forgive my ignorance. Did Judge Dress start this absolutely insane? It sounds like the writer or writers ran out of ideas so they added a supernatural aspect

I'm going to put this here since I never joined any Discord Arch has, and I don't want to be one of those people messaging him on his Patreon.
But I had a thought for discussion and further exploration. So I think "Woke" is nothing more than a symptom and cover for the frauds moving about media modernly, with their only constant beliefs being in Communism and Socialism of the extremes that certain groups in Germany early last century would have agreed with.
However before the modern Woke there seems to be a few stand out figures who seem to be the embodiment of everything that the woke both do and are in any IP or industry they get into. For a prime example we have Ken Penders of Sonic the Hedgehog and Archie Comics infamy. The so called "man who killed Sonic", "the man who killed Archie Sonic" and "the man who invented Echidnas" (an animal that exists IRL) while Sonic was very much a new IP at the time it did have some established lore and Archie Comics was looking for a head writer for its Sonic series since their first one was likely to quit. But no one even knew what Sonic was and the only reason Ken was considered or accepted was because his son was a Sonic fan even though he never once played the games and Sega wasn't prime to allow Archie to have early access or free copies of the games they were releasing.
Ken was a tourist to Sonic, (point one) he then entered the series and after a short time created a bunch of OCs and started disparaging the original cast to beef up the importance of his OCs, including eventually trying to permanently kill Dr. Eggman the main villain of ALL Sonic games at the time and then he tried to replace Eggman with a villain of his own creation but none of his ideas stuck and instead the series focused on political drama. A state of affairs that lasted two years because Sega's negligence when it came to comics/manga for their IP. (Points two and three)
He then more or less tried sexualizing many of the characters including having a 16 year old get with a 26 year old and even tried to marry the two characters. And implied that "evil Sonic", aka the lazy alternative dimension bad guy of the hero trope, had slept with all of Sonic's female friends thus NTR'ing Sonic with a lazy OC Ken created in a comic aimed at pre-teens and younger. (Points one again and four)
He then pushed for full creative control over his own Sonic series and "settled" for a spin off with Knuckles which he admitted he originally planned as a Sonic one but honestly didn't care. (Point five)
And he then proceeded to do a bunch of pointless world building in that series which entirely broke the tone of the Sonic series, made a bunch of "unique' OCs who were pretty much all copy pasted characters with shallow surface level differences. (Point six)
And all throughout he tried to push his own beliefs, which since this is pre-woke in this case is that "father's can do no wrong" using voice of God and plot contrivance to prove his point. And he more or less tried to boil everything down to "bad guys are Nazis, my beliefs are that of the freedom fighting good guys" (points seven and eight)
And his failures culminated in two events, first his "quitting" Archie Comics after the current head of IDW's Comic series and pretty much the guy who would eventually replace Ken used a pseudonym to launch a series of complaints about Ken in particular using a strong fan knowledge of the comics, and Sonic in its entirety and his artistic knowledge to point out the failures of Ken and the waste of money the guy was. So Ken left Archie claiming he was leaving for the "creative freedom of Hollywood" which he has near absolute creative freedom under Archie Comics thanks to Sega's negligence at the time their only ever demand going against him being "how dare you kill Eggman, bring him back". But as he left he copyrighted a ton of the artwork for particular characters, which would have gone against his original contract if not for a fire burning that contract to ash. And he would then wait years with these copyrights until Sega made a game that was a little too similar to one of his plots and he went to sue them for the profits of that game, which guy was so out of touch and such a tourist with Sonic it took him shy of two years to ever notice the game existed. And he sued his former employers both Sega and Archie over the artwork he copyrighted, which again isn't even the characters themselves and most of them had changed in art style and name since he left. He even tried to take the lawsuit so far as to try to claim he owned Knuckles the character from the Sonic games from before Ken even knew what Sonic was, his actions got over half the Archie Comics characters removed, and, for a debatable good end opened up a floodgate of lawsuits against Archie. (Points nine and ten and the final toxic conclusion of what we modernly call the woke)
I feel like following these ten points we could take some severe analysis to both modern Woke productions and writers/creators and many past examples and basically identify the root issue and thus cut off people like this even when they try to switch out their rainbow flag for some other ideology.
