I have been watching you videos for a few years. I am not a wood worker but I love seeing your creative jigs to solve woodworking projects. Your videos are great and easy to follow to anyone that wants to make them
Beautiful jig! I love the homemade knobs! Just one observation. When referencing the flat side of the routers base against the T-Track the routers base must be held perfectly parallel to the T-Track when routing the slot otherwise you won’t have a straight slot. If you were to build the jig referencing the round side of the router base to the T-Track you can’t go wrong and if you centre the router base using a centering cone combined with a router guide bushing and a Makita adapter plate to accept Porter Cable style 1 3/16” guide bushings you wouldn’t need to mark side A and B of the router base as it would be perfectly centred to the bit. Once again : a Masterpiece. I like to see feature of the previous creations but when you already use parts of the new one to continue building it always makes me smile.
Excellent idea and execution. Using the hinged pieces to enclose the dado is clever and effective, but the length of the MDF piece N03 depends on the router bit to be used. Right?
Hello my friend, I'm a fan addict of your builds and I congratulate you for that! I bought your PDF plan to build this device but I don't see the PDF guide that explains how to create the wooden clamping star buttons, only an Amazon link to buy plastic buttons!!! Please, could you give me this PDF manual to build these buttons because that's why I bought this manual on your website.
Very nice jig! But I think it should be mentioned that it does not work with a different bit size than it was built with. Anyway, this is the only type of jig I would build for my router most. Fine explanation, I loved every detail.
Great idea and nice work, J-san. In addition to cutting slots or open-ended dados as he demonstrates, this is an excellent jig for rapidly and repeatedly producing blind dados so that the slot doesn't show from the front of something like a bookcase, cabinet or open shelving built of solid or glulam wood. Of course, you have to notch the front edge of the shelf or divider to accommodate that little bit in front of the dado, but it's barely a minute's work with a fine crosscut handsaw and a sharp chisel.
Yes yes!! I downloaded the plans last night they were only £4.11p.I cannot wait to get into my workshop to build one or maybe 2 you sir are an inspiration to every workshop carpenter I have a question can you use the small Trent router and do you have to use a twist bit 10mm wide or can you use a bigger bit. Your number 1 fan greetings from Ireland

thank you for the advice. Methanol is used in the video. It acts as a very effective cutting fluid for aluminum. The problem is that it has a low viscosity and falls off the bit quickly.
Ok first time viewer... love the work but seriously it's nobody asking how in the world you started your vacuum with a car alarm remote. I need you to make a video for that achievement please
Everything is very nice, but it only works with one type of cutter. That is, with a cutter of the same diameter. If you put a cutter with a larger diameter, it will cut the edges of the fitting.
The knobs, are they made out of nyatoh? I have made a couple of decorative items out of nyatoh, and the dense grain pattern is absolutely beautifull once sanded and oiled. :) At least here in Denmark, nyatoh is mostly sold as table tops and decorative shelves.
I hope you will share my videos with your friends!
Of course, because your videos are really worth sharing. Greetings from Germany
Friends?
where we can find raw material which you have used in this video ?
I already have and will continue to do so.
Always mate ! The best videos ever !

Your videos are terrific! I love that you don't have loud music and the pace of the work is perfect.
Cher Maître, encore une fois c'est un très bel ouvrage utile, facile à réaliser et peu onéreux 😊
Merci pour ce partage et... 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Very nice. The only problem I see is that It only works for that particular bit size.
Well once again I have bought your plan and can't wait to Make it it should save me a lot of trouble. Good luck from Ireland
All your creations are already useful even after you finish it . That's simply amazing!
Thank you, Just realised, you used this jig to make another jig this month.

Hello, I finally have an accurate template for my router. Many thanks from France.
This is the one I'm making for myself. So tired of making custom jigs every time I need a slot routed out.

Yes.
I use only Φ6mm bits.

Thank you. Very interesting. What are those aluminium tracks called?

Excellente réalisation .
Incredible .... you can improve things perfect 👏👏
