Hi my Gorgeoue Witch 💜So nice to see you 🥰I was sick for awile and missed this but so happy i checked. I think you explained your practice very well! I don't know how i would really explain my practice as i came from a Christian backround as well. My Dad was a Preacher so i have dragged along some of my Christian ways with me as well. I am really into Folk Magic and i been living in the Appalachian's of West Virginia USA. There are many Churches and also many Folk practicioners in this area. I am from the North, New England USA and when i was a child my Grandmother on my Dad's side practiced Witchcraft. I remember her sprinkling things, herbs, tobacco etc. over her crops on her farm and chanting. She was part French, Swedish and Native American. She made home remedies for everything. I thought she was praying because my other Grandmother took me to Baptist Church all the time. My Dad used to say there was Witchcraft in his family but i never put two and two together until i got older and realized it was his Mom. Anyway, i find i am a Green Witch, Kitchen Witch and whatever else i feel in the moment.I also know when something is going to happen and sense danger. I do Biblomancy. I do a lot of candle magic and make a lot of herbal oils, balms, spices etc. from what i grow usually. If i can't find the seeds or plants i need sometimes i order on-line or get at the Health food store. Thanks for the really Great video 🥰🥰💜💜

I just had a conversation with a coworker the other day about my practice and what I do and don't believe in. I too am "technically" a chaos witch. I believe in the Christian God, but not how Christianity has evolved or what it claims to be today. I believe in the many teachings of Jesus, not of the persecution "Christians" of today spread. I have a very spiritual relationship with my God, and I talk to him daily like I would a friend. I too, had my own conversation of sorts with God when it came to my practice of the craft. I asked him the same, that if its wrong to practice the craft, then speak that to my spirit.
There were a few times where I felt God prompting me to get rid of all my witchcraft books, crystals, divination tools, etc. And I did.
I believe it was a test of what and who will I put first in my life.
    My God, or my craft?
I believe I passed each personal test and I havent felt the need to purge my belongings in many years.
I believe, my spirit has found Balance in that area, especially once i stopped trying to label myself, my belief system or my craft.
I also believe in "Mother Earth" and all the energies she embodies. As well as, Angel and Fae, Demons and Djinn (not portrayed as the blue guy in Aladdin, but more like the fire demons that helped build King Solomon's temple)
I believe in Animism as well reincarnation. I think that it is impractical to suggest that a person can learn everything needed in one lifetime to be able to move on to a higher existence such as heaven. I think that we live many lifetimes, each one presenting a different challenge or lesson. Only until we can surpass those challenges, can we then ascend to a higher enough level of enlightenment to be able to "move on" to wherever God has planned for us. I believe in different "worlds" and planes of existence as well.
It was just really nice to hear someone say something very similar to that which I believe as well 😊
    Blessed Be my friend 🙏🔮✨

You're prayre to God sounded beautiful, that's where I was at when I left Christianity. I was in tears praying, saying to God I need to leave cuz this religion is hurting me, and I'm sorry if this is evil but I've gotta go explore this witchy stuff (is along the lines of what I said). I then heard a voice (not literal, just the intuition type of speaking), and it said "you will experience me in a different way". And now nearly 8 years later I am an occultist and Jesus and/or God has circled back around to walk with me again! Jesus/God is not just for the Christians, he likes that occult shizzle too, haha!

I resonate so much…. Not raised very Christian, more moderate and my parents let me have my opinion and my own thoughts about it, but have that same feeling and the mix of different cultures and spirituality, it’s hard to really say really one thing that speaks to me, I also pick what feels good and go with that (maybe a Leo thing right? 😂)
About ppl’s opinions, I found that difficult too but being older and wiser I don’t let it get to me that much anymore… so much more important to just stick to what we feel what is right in our hearts.
Started (studying) witchcraft for about 1-2 months more seriously because it came on my path around the same year as you I think, but I think I wasn’t ready, for tarot not either. But a year ago ppl here on RUclips inspired me to pick up tarot again, and have been focused on that, and now a month or 2 ago I saw a video on witchcraft, paganism and one video let to another and voilà. I haven’t all figured it out yet obviously… deities, which direction I am going but just follow my heart and see where it takes me. Your videos help me so much, so thank you 🙏 ❤

I am such a baby witch. Started out a Christian witch. Never in life would I think I’d say I don’t think I even see myself as a Christian anymore. I’m really just finding myself drawn to the universe as a whole and have a bit of a lean towards Celtic paganism a bit. Still learning and figuring it all out.
Plus most of my craft is hidden. My altar space is my arts and craft desk. A lot of my spells are simply sigils and written words or things I do in my every day.

It can be so uncomfortable to be in a mode of seeking. Generally, we much rather feel like we are on "solid ground" when it comes to (well, anything, but) our spirituality. But I can say from experience, that these times of wandering in the wilderness are so RICH and filled with incredible discoveries. Wishing you all the best on your journey, I have no doubt there are many wonderful treasures before you! xoxo

When you were describing your path I was like that’s meeee!!! I relate to everything you said here. It’s so hard for me to define what I do, so ultimately when people ask I just say I’m an eclectic witch/pagan. Same with the model of witchcraft and magic, I feel like my opinions on it are always shifting so I don’t really go with any specific one. It’s so hard to pin down. Magic is such a nuanced thing, I really love hearing about everyone’s different beliefs! I was raised Christian and became an atheist in my late teens. It wasn’t until I discovered online that witchcraft is an actual thing that I realized this was the path for me. 7 years in and I couldn’t be happier with my spirituality 🌸

Thanks so much Jamie! I first heard the concept from Kelly Ann too. I have a couple of chaos magick books, but they don't go into it deeply. Frater U.D. seems to be credited with outlining these concepts, he has a few books available. But the ideas around magical paradigms is something I seem to have picked up from here and there over the years...
I did find this Udemy course (which I think you might be able to access for free): www.udemy.com/course/magick-100-the-models-of-magick/
I'm not sure how good it is, but the guy seems to know what he's talking about from the introduction. So this may be a good resource.

I always use plant matter, actually grow my own magical herbs 🌿 including a baneful garden & work with the spirits of the plants…..but I wouldn’t call myself a Green Witch! Are all these labels a new thing ????
