When Rachel says she feels like she got carried, that's some high praise! GGs. You were at HML, but from an overfishing perspective what is the goldilocks zone for available eggs and percentage you are expecting to get to the basket? Not that I am in anyway a good overfisher, but it seems like a team would want to be more liberal with their specials for egg yield rather than getting out of trouble. I.e. using the booyah on the mother ship. Thanks for the video.
Did you notice the bonus meter at 78,000 in the video? That is a lot of games in a short amount of time. By the time this game rolled around they knew this map really well, so they were prepared when high egg count night waves showed up. That and the thousands of hours they all played splatoon learning every weapon so they could be efficient and precise with knocking out bosses. Lastly, they could talk to each other and do things like announce using a special. I think everyone can relate to using their special, only to see a teammate use theirs at the same time, which isn't really productive.
Lots of hours in the game, for one! Being at max difficulty and max rank, too. The higher your rank is, the more bosses that spawns and so the more eggs you can get. I got 200+ in a freelance game during BR too so it’s possible too. If you genuinely want to improve, I’d recommend playing more during regular rotations to experience higher difficulties, which will no doubt improve your game play.
Got a high score of 157 with random players this big run, enough to get a gold trophy which I just missed getting the last run. This is a fun mode i wish it happened more like once a month
Lol maybe I didn’t explain it well enough cause I’ve had a couple comments like that. It’s not a casual run for me - this game was in a 2 hour session with this squad which was itself in a 6 hour session of squadding for high scores. What I mean in my intro is that outside of this, I played more casually and didn’t grind the entire event like I’ve done in the past! V happy with the score I got, I feel like if I player better, it would’ve been more :)

I watched three high score videos yesterday and noticed one player was in all of them. If Big Run were a tournament Bicouli would be the winner.

I got 122 as my max 🙃 I was so close to Gold with randoms! I didn't have much time to play though, it was very fun! I liked the map
I got 133 😭 I even tried using the SR discord but couldn't get a good run going in time
