Exactly very wholesome. Now we get people up on stage that are half naked and talking about sex and drugs and drinking. I mean not that I am the one to judge about decorative art artistic nature but we need more wholesome stuff and these days we don't get much of that. I would much rather see this.
Mara Wilson was so brave, especially performing at the Oscars mere days after discovering her mother had breast cancer, which she eventually succumbed to during filming of Matilda.
I remember ppl/critics saying this ceremony was one of the worst but I actually really enjoyed it. It's sheer brilliance compared to what they've been doing for the last 20 years.
I miss the 90"s . Incredible ! Tim Curry singing " Make en laugh " , in the Oscar , wow ! what a great honour ! Tim Curry you should be very happy and proud of yourself . I love it , the clip"s in the beginning of the oscar it make en laugh alright ! At lease ! Tim Curry had a experience to see the oscar in 1995 . Good for him !
Saw a lot of movies from my childhood in the 90’s and the fact that Mara Wilson was there is awesome I loved Matilda! The mask miss doubtfire, bill and ted, the lady from Hocus pocus was on there to love that movie so much 90’s Nostolgia
Anyone know what movie that is at 2:19 with Mara Wilson and Chevy Chase? I didn't know they did a film together and trying to search on Google and I'm not coming up with anything all it brings up is about Matilda which I know Chevy Chase was not in there.
Hi ! I think like in other bits of movies shown in this video, the actress was added in just for the occasion using special effects (like Tim in Forrest Gump at 3:13 for example)
Tim Curry resented the film for a long time being it nearly almost ruined his career. The movie was a box office bomb. However, he had grown to appreciate it over the years.
@MissJNMelvin: 1. Big was not from the 90s, it was from 1988. I complained about films from the 90s. 2. I'll give you Pretty Woman and The Mask, but certainly not Mrs. Doubtfire (ugh). 3. The term is "high-brow." 4.. And most importantly, where did I claim to make judgements on other people's behalf?
Why does they feel the need to put children pretending to know how to sing? As if "cuteness" was enough to overcome the fact they can´t sing for shit. Tim Curry, on the other hand, is awesome.
Dude, really? Mrs. Doubtfire? Big? Pretty Woman? The Mask? These are absolute classics and if you're too high brown or whatever to appreciate them then fine but don't make judgments on other people's behalf. However, I'll give you Wayne's World. In my personal opinion, that movie was pretty unfunny.
I'm sorry if you felt I was worked up I am neither angry nor feeling personally attacked. Perhaps you feel that way and are maybe projecting a little bit. And as I said, the word itself (dreadful) does not state an opinion. If used in the following situation, "the Holocaust was dreadful" it works because most people would agree. But when you use it to reflect your individual opinion I personally find it polite to qualify it. That's all I've been getting at. I apologize if I came on too strong.
You said the black and white movies were good, & lumped the others into a category entitled "picks from the 90s." I know that the term is high brow. High brown was obviously a typo. And if you don't somehow qualify what you're saying as your own then you are stating your opinion as fact and that annoys me. For example, saying "most of the then-modern movies they showed...just weren't funny, period" leaves no room for others to have valid opinions of their own. I find that extremely arrogant.
1. You need to calm down. This is, after all, a public forum. 2. How did I state my opinion as fact? If you want to dissect my post, for example, "dreadful." Isn't that a subjective word that owes itself to opinion in anyway? Maybe you should calm down and not look so hard into everything. Not everything on the Internet is a personal attack your well being. You're free to disagree with me, just as I am free with you. To assume that everyone must agree with you yourself is pretty arrogant.
Most of the then-modern movies they showed in the back just weren't funny, period. The older B&W movies definitely worked, but the picks from the 90s were pretty dreadful.
Mara and Tim's duet so wholesome 🖤😁
Exactly very wholesome. Now we get people up on stage that are half naked and talking about sex and drugs and drinking. I mean not that I am the one to judge about decorative art artistic nature but we need more wholesome stuff and these days we don't get much of that. I would much rather see this.
Tim Curry brings magic to anything he participates in. What a legend.
Mara Wilson was so brave, especially performing at the Oscars mere days after discovering her mother had breast cancer, which she eventually succumbed to during filming of Matilda.

Frank N Furter and Matilda walk into a musical number...
The Frank-N-Furter thing was funny. Eye roll.
Tim Curry resented the film for a long time being it nearly almost ruined his career. The movie was a box office bomb. However, he had grown to appreciate it over the years.
Wow this is pretty impressive. Those effects were cool.
I have never seen this before - brilliant! :)

Back when they were funny.
At least Seth MacFarlane saved the Oscars in 2013.
