Man, I love this film series so much and given Fast X's release, there hasn't been a better time to talk about these movies. So that's what I did and I also took the liberty of tier listing every installment, including the new Fast X. So join me as I indulge in the greatest film franchise of all time...

Reasons: All grounded, all have a good mix of action and street racing
A: 7, 5
Reasons: Too unbelievable but emotionally well written and best storylines/villains
B: 2
Reasons: Doesn’t take itself seriously which is good and bad, strong main character in Brian, bad cinematography/color grading but plot is fun
C: 6, 10
Reasons: Nothing special to remember, too much action like 5 and 7 but storylines were good
D: 8
Reasons: Plot lacks due to no Brian to compete with Dom, movie doesn’t carry any heart to it, too much slo-mo
F: 9
Reasons: Bad GCI, bad writing, even the only race has way too much slo-mo, Vin Diesel cannot carry this movie on his own as Paul Walker was the grounded soul of the franchise, no memorable moments.. just mindless popcorn film

Wait how is Vince the closest thing to a antagonist? Johnny Tran just doesn’t exist anymore?

Johnny Tran is a red herring for the police, he never *really* poses a threat to either of our protagonists. All things considered, they're on civil terms for most of the movie up until Jesse takes his car. He's a bad guy but he isn't the story's bad guy. Vince is both a threat to exposing Brian and is also a romantic rival, has a bigger stake in the plot directly

I can see your point. He does kill Jesse though. That’s enough to make him the main villain for me.

I love it when these films go off the walls as they defy every single thing that’s possible. I like all of them except for Tokyo Drift because it just feels so soulless and kinda boring. And this franchise does have the best lines out of any franchises like “I said fuggetaboutit cuz”, “thing about street fights is, the street always wins” or my personal favourite “listening to your voice is like dragging my balls across sharded glass. And it hurts”.
