The one thing i think league could learn from dota is it’s comeback mechanics. In dota sometimes a team can go 15 and 0 and still lose if they misplayed or get outplayed by the losing team. In league if you get 15 and 0ed by someone the game’s pretty much over already.

I like the map and graphics of Dota so much more. I can't really explain it but I think the map and those graphics make it look more "realistic" and therefore immersive, as in it really feels like champions battling it out in an arena, whereas the cartoonish style of league puts it on a slightly more abstract level, where I don't see it as this epic clash of champions against eachother but more just a collection of entities and their skills interacting if you know what I mean. So weirdly to me, if LoL would make another graphical overhaul to make it look more like Dota it would be perfect to me^^

In Dota damage doesn't scale nearly as fast as in League so one pops are much rarer. It's why Annie could cast all her spells twice and it didn't just destroy them in all timelines. I don't play Dota...but that was always one of the things I liked, less one shots.
League of legends but it’s only Shuriman ascended beings: nasus, renekton, azir, xerath, and rammus (may or may not be ascended but ok)... also the darkin.
I totally forgot about Rammus probably being just another ascended, but like a really ancient one, they definitely need to update Rammus lore... Also Gragas, Shaco and Amumu.
League's complexity is weighted more towards a champions kit. Whereas in dota alot of the heroes have passives that take up a whole ability, sometimes their ultimate. The lacking complexity in individual kits is made up by having more active items and consumables. I prefer lol method of more complexity in character as you get more theme flavour from it. You would get more depth by introducing more active items but you run the risk of excessive bloating the game. A real gamplay design difference to be found here in terms of how the games handle progression items. Dota is ' items have power outside the kit'. Most items have an active (BKB being a prime example). League is 'items empower the kit'. The minor exceptions being hextech items/twin shadows etc.
If you think the Blink dagger and Refresher orb is crazy wait till you see The "Black King Bar" When you activate it you go to an "Avatar" state and you turn gold. You are 100% Magic immune + Immune to 97% of all the games's CC for 10 seconds. Each uses reduces the Avatar state by 1 second until you only have 5 seconds of Avatar state.
"It's a shame they never went down that route" TBF, Riot's been messing up so badly in balancing and general gameplay decisions that any of these 'for fun' modes would instantly kill of normal gameplay. I mean, they already admitted that URF mode is making players realise that the base game actually ain't all that fun.
League of legends except my entire team is one massive boss fight. Everyone's ult makes them bigger for the duration, and when everyone presses R at once it just descends into utter chaos (hopefully). I was thinking something like Volibear top, Cho Gath jgl, Renekton mid, Nasus adc and Lulu supp, but obviously you can change it up if you want.

I'm gonna say that Dota looks a lot better than League, but it also seems a lot more chaotic and fights take longer too, for example i don't think you'd survive nor get away from a Kayn with a Yuumi in League, but in Dota you apparently can.
League of Legends but your controls are reversed q is bound to r, w bound to e, d bound to f, 1 bound to 7, 2 bound to 6, etc, and 4 bound to b and vice versa
Not sure if you'll ever do this again, but a couple things, you can keybind switching between controlled units, it would have saved you from the issue you were having with summoning tibbers. Second, turn radius is why your W felt off and why you sometimes didn't blink where your mouse was. They don't go where your mouse goes, they go in the direction your character is facing. I'd love to see more of this in the future and if you do, I want to see more minion denying in lane.
quick tip, theres a setting that will let you control tibbers on summon. also if you set spells and items to quick cast then theyll cast right when you press the button targeting your cursor.

LoL feels like chess with sparkly pieces, but DotA does indeed look like the champions are fighting. The skills are more "realistic"

League of legends but it’s only Shuriman ascended beings: nasus, renekton, azir, xerath, and rammus (may or may not be ascended but ok)... also the darkin.
I totally forgot about Rammus probably being just another ascended, but like a really ancient one, they definitely need to update Rammus lore... Also Gragas, Shaco and Amumu.
i just like that other player accidently bought the item that makes scepter a consumable and a buff and is confused why his scepter disappeared.
Imagine how much more fun League would be with items that mattered and did things and werent just glorified stat sticks.

League's complexity is weighted more towards a champions kit. Whereas in dota alot of the heroes have passives that take up a whole ability, sometimes their ultimate. The lacking complexity in individual kits is made up by having more active items and consumables.
I prefer lol method of more complexity in character as you get more theme flavour from it.
You would get more depth by introducing more active items but you run the risk of excessive bloating the game.
A real gamplay design difference to be found here in terms of how the games handle progression items.
Dota is ' items have power outside the kit'. Most items have an active (BKB being a prime example).
League is 'items empower the kit'. The minor exceptions being hextech items/twin shadows etc.

If you think the Blink dagger and Refresher orb is crazy wait till you see The "Black King Bar" When you activate it you go to an "Avatar" state and you turn gold. You are 100% Magic immune + Immune to 97% of all the games's CC for 10 seconds. Each uses reduces the Avatar state by 1 second until you only have 5 seconds of Avatar state.
You can actually change your settings so that everything you summoned will be selected immediately (in case you plan on doing this thing again XD)

TBF, Riot's been messing up so badly in balancing and general gameplay decisions that any of these 'for fun' modes would instantly kill of normal gameplay. I mean, they already admitted that URF mode is making players realise that the base game actually ain't all that fun.

League of legends except my entire team is one massive boss fight.
Everyone's ult makes them bigger for the duration, and when everyone presses R at once it just descends into utter chaos (hopefully). I was thinking something like Volibear top, Cho Gath jgl, Renekton mid, Nasus adc and Lulu supp, but obviously you can change it up if you want.
I want league to have modding support or somethin tbh my friends might come back to it considering we love being able to do our thing

The models are pretty neat honestly, its nearly like LoL:Wild Rift's champ models.
I'm gonna say that Dota looks a lot better than League, but it also seems a lot more chaotic and fights take longer too, for example i don't think you'd survive nor get away from a Kayn with a Yuumi in League, but in Dota you apparently can.
As an ex dota player I rate you do more of these, it’s really fun to watch and there’s some crazy builds you could do with dota items

Not sure if you'll ever do this again, but a couple things, you can keybind switching between controlled units, it would have saved you from the issue you were having with summoning tibbers. Second, turn radius is why your W felt off and why you sometimes didn't blink where your mouse was. They don't go where your mouse goes, they go in the direction your character is facing. I'd love to see more of this in the future and if you do, I want to see more minion denying in lane.

I play dota every now and again and I love this although it's also a complete nightmare.
quick tip, theres a setting that will let you control tibbers on summon. also if you set spells and items to quick cast then theyll cast right when you press the button targeting your cursor.
